We found this light to work very well. It correctly turns on when there's motion (entering the room) and does not activate when there's already sufficient light in the room. When it turns on it remains on for 13 seconds after all motion stops, which is very good. In our experience the light lasts for 6 months on a set of four Energizer Max AA batteries. The plastic case includes an integral rubber gasket sealing the battery compartment. Very nicely done! We use two 3M Velcro type adhesive strips to secure it to the wall rather than screwing it to the wall or using permanent adhesive strips since we're in a rental unit and didn't want to mar the wall. We found this light to be so bright (used in the bathroom for night visits) that initially we placed some brown cellophane packing tape on the white reflective surface that the LED lamp uses to bounce the light into the room to provide less illumination. Then, a year later and after consuming two sets of batteries I disassembled the case (4 Philips head screws in the corners) and easily wired in a 100 ohm resister to drop the light output to about 40% of the original brightness (measured using a Lux metering App). Now it seems much better suited to our purpose and (just maybe) the batteries will last even longer! The case provides ample room for such a mod. (See the attached picture.) Overall, a great product and we give it 5 stars.

It's funny, because I almost gave these a bad review simply based on not being able to get clear instructions from the manual, and how to pull the back cover off was unclear. I think it says to slide down, when you really are supposed to slide down then pull off. Anyways, all this senselessness threw me into a fit of rage, and I was going to return them. But once I got around the initial confusion, I JUST LOVE THESE THINGS NOW! They stay off if there is light in the room, and basically only come on if it is darkand movement passes in front of it so once you have them positioned, ya never really need to touch them . And they only come on if you pass in front of it, so ya don't have to have to worry about them coming on because ya moved your blanket or something, Good for the batteries too, as they only come one when you need them. Because they use batteries, they are portable , so you can position them or angle them where-ever you want them to come on. I have sleep troubles, and always have to get up to go to the washroom, and turning on a lightswitch can mess with that But the light from these is a real warm light. It's actually enjoyable to just take a bath with these lights on. Comforting hue. I don't get to say I love a product too often, but I LOVE THESE THINGSs. Yes, the instructions frustrated me like crazy at first, and I wish they were clearer, but once you figure them out they are definitely worth it, and trouble free after that.

Worked just fine initially. After about couple of months without motion/ movement it would start on its own and would shut after 30 seconds and would start again constantly. Would want a replacement as was relying quite a lot on it.

Awesome little light! Sees every movement in the dark. Even if you walk beside and not crossing the light it comes on. stays on for approx 1 minute if not moving around. Its a yellow hue and not blinding when your half asleep.
