Worth every penny! You get the most bang for your buck with this product. I was rehabbing an injured frog and decided to buy this for his substrate and he loved it so much. He healed up nice and got big and fat in his terrarium and made many homes inside this bedding. It’s safe and is of good quality and you get so much of it in just one brick you can afford to change it often to keep it clean. You won’t regret buying this! Would be awesome for full time terrarium owners who need a constant flow of good quality bedding!

Very satisfied. The grind size is finer than the other brand I tried, I think it's perfect. I used boiling water to hydrate, it speeds up the process a bit. Just be patient and break up the more stubborn pieces by hand.

This is my first time buying coco coir and using it. I was using this coco coir for seed starting and one brick took me at least 2 litres of boiling water to expand properly. I would recommend trying to get a smaller chunk of the brick if you don't want to use a lot like others have said. No weird smells and a decent price for the amount you get. I'd buy it again.

Always lovely. I have no cons, and this little brick turns into more than enough to fill a terrarium. I have purchased twice. You can mix it 70% to 30% of playsand for a fat tailed gecko. You could also do a full water soaked brick mixed with a horticultural charcoal bag for a crested gecko terrarium. My terrariums are not currently housing Any isopod are sparing tails, but I will probably add them in the future and this substrate will be great for them as well. It worked out great in both reptile enclosures. I tried using a small amount in my jumping spiders enclosure as well, but she did not like soil at all, so I ended up having to completely remove it from her enclosure specifically.

Finally, a coconut substrate that isn't full of long fibers! The fibers are far shorter and finer than all of the other coconut substrates I've tried, making this the softest, fluffiest substrate I've ever found both, coconut based and not. It also holds moisture well and doesn't get compressed or packed down the way other substrates do, making it perfect for my salamander enclosure. It's also significantly cheaper than the substrate mix I normally buy, especially considering how much substrate you get once the brick is fully hydrated. I will warn you, though, that the process of rehydrating and fluffing this substrate is rather messy. It makes a LOT more than you expect! Fortunately, it's also a breeze to clean up. Overall I'm very happy with this substrate and not only will I recommend it to my fellow amphibian enthusiasts, I will also be purchasing it again in the future.
