My students love Zingo. When I introduced this game to our learning bins they were over the moon! Great activity for assessment of spelling skills and students can play the game independently.

This seems a great building and consolidating literacy game. The little "machine" is fun to use and adds enjoyment. It seems basic but still useful for older learners as it can help build speed and accuracy. I can see potential to customise it also by making new bingo boards (and even experimenting with cutting extra letters or letter combinations out of card or plastic although this is more doubtful as it is engineered to deliver tiles of precise thickness.)

Buy this game! Bought the word builder version for my four year old who did amazingly! Will notes that it’s hard to make the game competitive if you’re helping your child sound out words but may be good to play with more than two people. Great for phonics and identifying consonants vs vowels, etc. and making it fun! It’s also nice that there’s a beginner side and a more advanced side to the cards. Honestly, we have a different version (?the original version) of Zingo which was gifted to us by a relative who is a former first grade teacher and is now a reading specialist. Our kids (ages 2-4) can all play that and enjoy it. I recommend all of the Zingo games we’ve purchased thus far! They teach some gaming strategy (checking out your card before play begins and checking out opponents’ cards), the cards, zinger (dealer), and chips are durable, and the games can be played by ages younger than listed with some adult assistance.
