Would recommend!
One of the premix brands I'm using for my growing kittens. Works great with raw food. Love ingredient list, no unneeded additives. I do use ground with mixed in little chunks of meat and seems they love that texture the best, comparing to all ground with premix. Very easy to make food with different amounts of meat you have available. I always freeze in couple ounce size tupperware (or ice cube trays), for easy rotation. For sure not a rocket science for those who thinks that raw/ gently cooked would be very time consuming and complicated. My kittens are 8 and 7 months old, have lovely coats, no health problems and doing great. Best part, uses litter boxes way less than cats on a dry/ can food diet, and poops every other day. Poops also not as stinky. So no problems with upset stomach's or digestion. Would highly recommend if you care about your pets health and don't wanna live in the vets office 😊

Almost too good
I have a 16 year old Turkish Van who is still thriving, but I felt he deserved some better food options. I live out in the country and we have many available sources of good meat so I decided to try making him some homemade food. While many reviews note that some cats don't prefer this product, it nonetheless seemed like a quality product. So I bought the small bag and pressure cooked a whole chicken and mixed it per instructions. First note- You DO get 6 lbs of food, but yes the instructions are ambiguous. You add 4 lbs of meat, 1 cup of mix (Its a cup by volume, not weight) and 3 cups of water. This makes 6 lbs by weight. So I did this. Got exactly 6 lbs, portioned it out and gave it to all 4 of our cats to sample. And they all turned up their noses, as others have reported. And I'm not surprised. The mixture was still somewhat warm which they're not used to. Also you could detect a bit of a 'vitamin' sent from the freshly mixed food. It was also somewhat runny from the water content. With all this in mind, I threw it all in the fridge overnight. And what a difference a day makes. Turns out all my cats were sneaky, conniving scoundrels! And it took this food to bring it out of them. When I repeated the taste test the next day, all 4 cats ate it like it was their first time eating food. No licking or nibbling, but rather whole-mouth gobbles like they were eating meat right off a bone. And while my plan was just to give this to my old cat, separately and segregated, the other cats had other ideas. They hawked me, they profiled me, they hid under and behind things, and resorted to every other manner of deviousness in order to steal any quantity of this food they possibly could get when I wasn't looking. I eventually made a second batch, this time with pork, and not only did they love that too, they got even more sneaky. Until I finally gave up and just started feeding it to all of them. Because its actually dirt cheap to make this way. I 5lb whole chicken that costs maybe $8, gives me close to 8 lbs of food, enough to feed all of them for over a week. A 4lb boneless pork loin cost me $5.50 on sale. Over the long haul this puts us at about $20 for a week + of premium human-grade food. Actually cheaper than giving 4 cats our usual mix of cans with dry food for backup and waaaaaayyyyyyyyy cheaper than buying any of the boutique 'Farmer foods'. And they eat it like its the thing they were put here to do. No issues, no vomiting, no weird behaviors. Rather 4 thriving cats, with super shiny coats and super sharp criminal minds, stalking me 24 hours a day trying to get more. Its almost too good for its own good.

First time making it raw
The company was very responsive when I thought I had lost my package and quickly offered to replace it -- which turned out not to be necessary when I was able to locate the package. But they were fast to respond and willing to make right any problems with shipping. As to the product, I have just started using it. But it is very easy to use -- much easier than mixing everything yourself. The whole process took less than 3 minutes. So far, we are transitioning to the new food. She would not eat it alone -- but she had no trouble once we put a bit into her regular wet food. We're now up to half and half, and so far it's working very well. The ingredients are all human quality, and limited to the essentials....the rest is what I put in (ground turkey). I'm very happy to know exactly what my cat is eating. UPDATE: OK, she loves this stuff. We were feeding her primo commercial stuff before, but always a few crumbs left. Now, she licks the plate clean and comes back later to make sure. We're done with transitioning -- especially after I didn't mix a batch thoroughly enough and the chunks left by her were clearly from her old food. So, we're done with that. Very economical too, on Turkey. But, I'm gonna try to rotate in different meats, chicken next which will cost more, then maybe lamb. I'd love to find a good place for ground rabbit. I hope by varying the meats to also vary the nutrients slightly, but I'll update later when I see how other meats work out. But, at this point -- couldn't be happier with her improved appetite and energy, and I think her coat is looking richer/glossier, but that could just be winter coming.

Only a great experience so far! Thank you!
I would give this 6 stars if I could. I’ve been feeding this to my cat for a couple months now. I have purchased 2 of these medium sized, but I didn’t purchase more after running out. I BOUGHT THE BIGGER BAG! My cat loves her food. She’s at the perfect healthy weight. I’ve had to feed her dry food for vacation recently and came home to a shedding cat. After my return and feeding her this product again the shedding decreases dramatically and her coat is soft. I’ve always had this delivered before the expected date when shipping. I will purchase this for my cat forever now. I thank you, and my cat thanks you!

I started making my own cat food for 2 senior cats who had allergy and health issues. I wanted an easy way to make sure they were getting all the supplements they needed (taurine, omega's, etc.). This product made it very simple. It is also a great value versus having to go out and buy individual supplements. The cat's allergys improved and their throwing up on a regular basis stopped as well. Thank you for a great product.

I have 3 cats and have been using Know Better for several years. This is the first time It’ve bought it on Amazon as in the past I bought it directly from the manufacturer. The main reason I love this product is that it gives me peace of mind because I know exactly what’s going into my cats’ food, which as far as I’m concerned, is priceless. The only negative I noticed was that when I buy this directly from the manufacturer it comes with a slightly better expiry date.

This premix is wonderful! I originally had all my pets on kibble, until I joined a highly recommended feline nutrition page, to learn what they need ext. I quickly learned kibble is not very good nor healthy and they aren't getting everything they need and getting things they don't need. When I started looking into feeding raw I was very excited but very overwhelmed! I found on the nutritional page what premixes they recommend. Better know is on there, at the bottom but it made the cut and it is so easy to get in Canada. Which is a bonus! So I went for it! All I got to do is buy ground meat mix water and premix and boom foods ready && fresh! My siamese 3 yr old took to it immediately and seems to really really enjoy it. My 13week old mainecoon will eat it but never finishes it, I don't think she's convinced yet! We just ordered the beef premix to see if she'll like it better!! I for sure love it! Makes feeding raw a breeze!!! 4 stars because my MC is hesitant!

I took in a feral cat that is perhaps two years old. Quickly became obvious dry kibble did not agree with his digestion so I tried this product. His bowl is licked clean, his coat has stayed soft and smooth, breath is clean and no more litter box issues. Highly recommended.
