What an outstanding value!
You can't go wrong! Two pounds of hibiscus flowers at this price is a great deal! My doctor wanted to see my LDL cholesterol lower and my HDL cholesterol higher. We talked about this at my appointment in August. At my next appointment in December she did a blood test again and the cholesterol numbers were perfectly in line. She said I really must have taken her advice and changed my diet. It wasn't until then that I told her I had not changed my diet. All I did was started drinking hibiscus tea every day. That's it! She was very impressed. I didn't tell her about the hibiscus until a few days later when my blood test results were back. That way I would know for a fact that I was getting her true opinion on the effects of the hibiscus. This stuff works well! I make my tea in a mason jar every night before I go to bed, so it's just a cold brew. I put two heaping scoops of hibiscus flowers in my tall mason jar, add two bags of oolong green tea, and fill the jar with water, close it up, and leave it in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, I have this deep, dark red, beautiful hibiscus oolong tea that is very potent. In the morning I pour everything into my large Pyrex measuring cup, then pour it back into my mason jar through a strainer (this leaves just the tea without the hibiscus leaves and tea bags). I sweeten it with agave nectar, add a packet of True Lemon, and a couple of tablespoons of Chia seeds, shake up the whole jar to mix it all together, and I then take it to work with me every morning to drink throughout the day. I lost nearly 20 pounds doing this without changing my diet, because the hibiscus tea eliminates and prevents inflammation/water retention. I went to the bathroom a lot while doing this, but that effect tapers off after a few weeks. I feel some energy from the caffeine in the oolong tea, and the Chia seeds have great fiber and are also good for maintaining cholesterol, but I didn't start adding those to the tea until recently. Buying in bulk from this merchant seems to be the best way to go, because it's such a good deal to get so much of the product for this price. There were no quality issues, the bag has a zipper type seal on the top like a ziploc bag, and the merchant was fast about shipping everything to me. They have a customer for life, as far as I'm concerned! Great value!

Amazing!
I love this stuff! The hibiscus flower leaves are so potent and fresh. I thought getting two bags might have been a bit much but for the value, there is no other! One of my favorite new restaurants--Tender Greens--offers hibiscus tea as a beverage and that is where I got hooked. I make a large pitcher each week and drink it so much throughout the week. I did a rough estimate of how much I was saving in drinking my own homemade hibiscus tea vs going out to get Starbucks' passion tea lemonade, which I sort of liken to this. Well, it is a huge money saver and I like that I can control the sugar. I use a cold brew process: sprinkle in the hibiscus to my pitcher with just enough to cover the bottom. Then, I add cold, filtered water and then stick it in the fridge to brew overnight. I find this keeps it tart and perky and there is no bitterness at all, which can occur if you start with hot water. I like to add cold simple syrup to the pitcher the next day to sweeten it up a touch. One thing I do recommend is using a slotted spoon to fish out the hibiscus the next day. Drinking your hibiscus tea and having to constantly spit out the little pieces is quite annoying. Or, you could also strain it. I really feel the quality of these hibiscus flowers is amazing and they come in very well-sealed bags. I have yet to use my second bag but I am glad that it is there when I will need it next. Do not hesitate to buy this product!

Delicious and Healthy!
I've been purchasing this awesome Hibiscus Tea for several years. I brew a big pitcher at least every week and try to drink 2 glasses a day to help lower my blood pressure. However I would drink it anyway because it is so delicious. I love the tart but sweet flavor. I've gotten several of my friends hooked on this tea and expect I'll be drinking it for many years to come.

Ground up flower petals, not the whole flowers of other brands
I much prefer whole herbs and did not realize that the Starwest brand was so finely chopped. I brew them for 10 to 20 minutes to get the full flavor of the hibiscus flowers. The flavor is "flowery with citrus overtones." All brands that I've used have a LOT of sand which you won't see until after your tea is brewed, so plan on filtering your tea a few times to get most of the sand out. I mix hibiscus tea with Japanese Sencha tea, half and half, with each brewed separately, then mixed and filtered together several times.. The blend works well for me. I usually make enough for around 3 days consumption, and store the blended tea in the refrigerator.

Delicious!
I love this. I make a pitcher of hibiscus tea a week and mix it with LaCroix or just plain water and ice, maybe with a mint sprig if I have some. I make it with my drip coffee maker; just a 1/3 cup of tea for a 12 cup pot. Dissolve in 1 cup sugar (I like it sweet). Perfection .

My go to beverage
Great taste, (with added sweetener, raspberry syrup) , otherwise it's too bitter for me. Good for blood pressure and increases Nitric Oxide in your blood. This causes relaxed blood vessels. which is great for so many reasons ;+) I make it in a french press. Overnight cold press in the fridge makes the best tea

I have bought many teas from Starwest - dandelion, milk thistle, burdock root..... This is the first time purchasing hibiscus, and they did not disappoint me. Always top quality and the world's best price. Too bad that many of their loose leaf tea products are not available in Canada (I have checked their US website and oh my...). I am concerned if they would no longer sell at Amazon.... Please stay in Amazon for us Canadian customers.

Dislike is too strong a word, the petals were crushed, not what I have become accustomed to using.

It's good quality hibiscus even thought I can't stand the taste. I thought I'd like it but it was so tart and alien tasting I couldn't stomach it.
