Chrono Cross: is the sequel to Chrono Trigger It takes place 20 years after the events of Chrono trigger A guy name serge is pulled is into a another world and to say any more then that would start to spoil it STORY: The story is great it's a very deep storyline that ties nicely with the events of the first one It revels it self at a slower pace then most RPG which i find great it's not shaved down your throat leaving no surprises There are 45 playable Chartres with there own small storyline I would like to go more into the story but that would involve same spoilers but the game is not battle driven it is story driven it has a really big heart but i'll leave it there i'll just say it is so much better then any Final fantasy game BATTLE SYSTEM: At first it seems complicated but you understand within minutes one of the best things i like about it is you can only use magic and skills once per battle so lets say you want to use cure you have to equip more then one on your element grid and they've done away with MP points instead you have to build up points by attacking and the types of attacks weak strong and severe the stronger ones are a little harder to land but they build up a lot of points i'll leave that part of the battle system there to hard to say with out giving the wrong expression like i did when i read reviews there are no random encounters you can avoid them if you want but they even made it better you can always run from battles first go [none of that crap where you have to keep trying and trying] and also boss battles if it dose not go your way you can just run even from the finale boss fight you can just run which i had to do a lot there is only one real way to kill the finale boss LEVELING: well its just great you only level up after every boss fight and a bit more with 5 normal battles leaving you still strong for the finale boss so your free to avoid a lot of normal fights Graphics and the music are great there is nothing bad to say about this game if you love and miss the the old RPGs that are not graphics focused but story foused then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME And yes i got the greats hits one but who cares the game is just as great and its not that easy to get the black liable and the seller he is fantastic person to buy from

After playing Chrono Trigger, I wanted a sequel, so I bought this game. Overall, I am satisfied with the gameplay. Those who expect this to be another Chrono Trigger will not get what they expect. The story intersects that of Chrono Trigger, but everything else makes it a unique game. The gameplay is interesting and a refreshing change from Chrono Trigger. Unlike most RPGs, you can choose which spells to equip and use in battle. As your characters get stronger, you can buy and equip stronger spells and techniques. Instead of using up HP or MP to use techniques and cast spells, you use "power levels" which you gain from using basic attacks. So you don't run out of MP as you do in other games since you can always gain it back and it resets after every battle. Because of this, you can heal your characters using "power levels" during and after every battle, which makes the game seem too easy. You can also run away from boss fights (!), but you have to fight them to advance the storyline. The back of the game cover boasts of "a multitude of playable characters." Being a seemingly good idea, this innovative element is the biggest negative as well as the biggest positive aspect of the game's story. Because of the huge number of characters, there isn't much character development outside of the three main characters (Serge, Kid, and Lynx), though one could argue that there isn't much character development of the main character at all since he never speaks. The large number of characters serves the game's goal of lengthening the game's potential playtime since there are numerous side quests. Each character has his/her own story and personality, but the characters' personalities are not as developed as the main characters'. Overall, I enjoyed this game very much and would recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed Chrono Trigger and other similar games. The soundtrack is just as good as Chrono Trigger's if not better and the gameplay is an improvement despite its flaws. However, if you are expecting an excellent story that rivals that of Chrono Trigger, you will be disappointed. Also, one last thing to note: BUYER BEWARE: Some people who purchased the game from Amazon, including myself, received defective copies of the game (the game freezes near the end of the first disc). Este no es un lugar para escribir una reseña completa. Por lo que lo único que puedo decir es que no es el juego original, es una edición fabricada por SQUARE-ENIX en fechas mas recientes. Por ello el precio tan accesible. Funciona perfectamente en una consola Play Station y emuladores que permiten imagen ISO.

O jogo está funcionando, mas a entrega foi péssima. Primeiro que o pacote veio sem NENHUMA proteção (plástico bolha, papel, NADA), e a caixa veio quase inteira quebrada. Ainda bem que a mídia não danificou. Mas péssimo, estou decepcionado.

Un classico di un epoca passata, purtroppo non superò mai il suo predecessore Chrono Trigger nonostante gli elementi ci fossero tutti, una colonna sonora incredibile, una storia complessa (forse anche troppo anche per gli stessi scrittori) e buone meccaniche. Prodotto sigillato e nuovo come nella descrizione. -Attenzione-- Chrono Cross non venne mai pubblicato in europa, la versione che riceverete è quella americana (NTSC), quindi non potrete giocarci con una console europea, quindi fate attenzione. C'est la version américaine du jeu, vu qu'il n'est jamais sorti en Europe, il faudra alors une console pucée pour y jouer, ou utiliser un émulateur sur pc. Sinon, on a là un magnifique J-RPG, l'une des dernières perles de la playstation 1. Graphismes, musiques, gameplay, scénario, tout est de qualité. Un jeu qui reste dans les mémoires pour tous ceux qui l'essayent.
