Ravensburger Escape 8 Forbidden Basement 759Puzzle

We have completed several of these escape puzzles and have enjoyed them all. It says that this one in particular has unique pieces, which we took to mean that unless it’s the correct piece it wouldn’t fit, that is not accurate. Like every other one of these we’ve done, pieces will fit willy nilly and you’ll have to rely on matching up minute details to make sure you’ve got the right placement.

Very nice puzzle. Good quality and fun to put together. Medium difficulty I would say. No huge section of one color. Fun mystery puzzle to solve.

First, make sure you a large table you can work on this for a while. Just putting the jigsaw puzzle together took a few weeks and we were working at a table too low for the task. (We kept having to take breaks because our backs hurt from bending over and looking for pieces.) But the jigsaw puzzle itself is very well designed with its own misdirections and pitfalls, before you even start solving the mystery. Very satisfying. The mystery puzzle surprised us in the direction it went but was, again, quite satisfying once finished. (And there’s an online hint system if you need a push to get going.) If it weren’t for the fact that we were excited to get our table back, we would have left the completed puzzle out for much longer. It felt like we had really done something by finishing it.
