Syrups and sweeteners are things that I often tend to not like. Just don't like all of that extra sweetness. But there are times when a good syrup is just the right addition to something that I'm making. Most, I do not like. So I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this syrup. I've always liked dates, but syrups can be weird. This has a wonderful rich date flavor and a silky textured. Better yet, there is no sugar added and it does not trigger my blood sugars upwards. Clean, organic and tastes great.

This Jomara Organic Date Syrup comes from Saudi Arabia. It is a smooth, rich sweetener that can be used in place of other sugars. We've tried it plain, in homemade ice cream, and in cooking. I like to drizzle a bit on sweet potato wedges before air frying (along with EVOO, salt, pepper, and cinnamon). I try not to use too much sweetener, in general, but I feel better about using date syrup. The bottle pours well. My daughter thought it was a bottle of shampoo! It's the type of bottle we see for hair care products. Give this date syrup a try to add sweetness with bonus fiber, antioxidants, iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese, and B6! Highly recommend!!

With that being said, I will not be buying again, since mine was delivered opened, and the contents leaked all over the rest of my order. How can this be legal that I am now out $9, through no fault of my own? These products, if non-returnable, should state so in their descriptions, otherwise make it a law!

This organic date syrup is a welcome change for a sweetener. It has a rich flavor and sweetens nicely. I have used it to make baked apples and used some in a homemade salad dressing. Both recipes were really better with this sweetener rather than standard sugar. The date syrup is vegan - which I would expect. One issue I can’t really understand is the label states 100 grams has 345 calories. This seems oddly high- as it also states it is low glycemic index. I think the calorie amount has to be an error! .

This is quality date syrup, its very delicious and can be a good alternate to sugar. You really use it as dressing when making deserts or salads. Its imported from Saudi which is very known for this kind of quality syrup.
