Are real bears and babies required for this game?

Actually, we strongly recommend not playing with real bears and babies because the babies would probably do some real damage to the bears, and we don't want to endanger them! Hope that helps! would adults enjoy this game of Bears and Babies?

I think this is less about adults v children enjoying, and more about the type of game you enjoy playing. This is from the makers of exploding kittens and the Oatmeal web comic... if that is your type of humor, then that is step one. If you don't like that humor, this game will probably turn you off at the start. It's an odd one. Secondly, while the humor is similar, this is NOT exploding kittens, which could be described as a twisted UNO-style game. This is a slower-paced game with more strategy, where you need to think through what cards to play at a given time and need to pay attention to what others are laying down. If you could align this to an old-school game, it would be Rummy (or even Phase 10), where you are trying for particular combinations. Unlike rummy however, here you can also undo other players' combinations with certain decisions, setting them back. Adding or removing certain rules (both as described in the instructions and house-designed after playing a bit) can enhance playtime with the right group. It is fun with people who like that style of game. I've played with kids as young as 9 and adults as old as 65. More adults liked it than the kids, it just depends on the game style you like I think.

Would a very smart 7 year old enjoy this game?

Yes they would; it's fairly easy to pick up, and the strategies would be something a smart 7 year old could easily grasp.

Does this game work well with only two people?

We've only played with 4, but it says it's good for 2 people. Not sure how much fun it will be with just 2. I'd recommend it to start before bringing it out with more though. You know, to work out the kinks!

Great game...not really anything to do with Bears though other than the fluffy brown box. Needs a LOT of table space even for 2 players so we improvised it on our small table. It's fun, plenty replayable and you can improvise the rules a bit to make it easier / harder as you want

The video instructions are excellent and highly recommended to learn the game quickly. While easy enough to learn there is enough complexity to play this game over and over again without being bored. Great strategy game.

Lo compré sin pensar al saber que era de los creadores de Exploding Kittens, y no me ha decepcionado. Lo primero es que es muy original y no existe juego igual en el mercado. Divierte mucho y ha sorprendido a los amigos con los que he jugado. Es más estratégico que Exploding Kittens, eso gustará a unos más que a otros. Las partidas no son tan rápidas como Exploding Kittens porque algunos turnos la gente tiene que pensar bien lo que hacer. Pero nada que se haga eterno y sigue siendo un juego rápido y fácil de jugar. Que esté en inglés es todavía más irrelevante que en Exploding Kittens, que si ya era facilísimo de entender, aquí casi no hace falta leer nada. Una vez te explican cómo jugar, solo muy pocas cartas llevan texto y se explican bien en el FAQ que incluye el juego. En resumen, una compra muy recomendada. Gran juego y buen precio teniendo en cuenta lo cuidada que está la edición y que son muchísimas cartas las que incluye.
