Is this made in usa? whether any ingredients are sourced from china?

Personally, I find it bizarre that this question is asked so often. No matter where the product is made or source, do you actually think that the end product would not have to meet purity standards in order to be sold here in the US?  I googled the Kingdomway Group for further information, and it turns out they've been in business since 1998, selling vitamin A, D, DHA, Co-q-10, etc.. And NEWSFLASH: Probably 90% of all supplement companies get their raw materials from China, just like 90% of everything we buy in the US has some components made overseas.  Sheesh...

Question 2

Can anyone tell me how large the capsules are? I am looking for a supplement for my daughter and she has some trouble swallowing large pills.

Capsules have a rating system like 0,1,2 like small medium and large. This capsule is clear, unmarked and is 3/4 inch in length. It is not a creepy hard tablet that sticks to your throat.  I don't think that is considered the large - more medium.  It goes down well. For a child though might consider a chewable or liquid, although B's aren't that tasty to me.  The important thing is to get the Quatrefolic, the Cadillac of the folates. Drs Best has great B's.

Is this comparable to nutritional yeast?

Better than nutritional yeast, I think. Both are bioactive. Like natural yeast, this complex has the active forms of Bs, so they can be utilized by people who cannot metabolize folic acid and other non-active b vitamins. About 45% of the population have what is called an MTHFR gene mutation, for instance, that doesn't allow them to metabolize the synthetic form of folate, folic acid.  As such, they lose out then on one pathway to healthy methylation - and production of neurotransmitters, hormones, immune and digestion enzymes and more.

But this is a much higher dosage than you can get in nutritional yeast without eating cupsful of it.  It's okay if the amounts of b vitamins, which are water-soluable, are high, as your body just burns off what you don't need.  But if you are deficient in a particular b vitamin(s), your body may need these higher amounts.  Nutritional yeast also needs to be supplemented with a active from of b12, such as methycobalamin, because it doesn't contain B12.

Nutritional yeast would be great for someone who knows they have good b-vitamin values already and are just looking to maintain.  But taking a daily active B12 supplement with the yeast would be generally be recommended.

Question 4

Why is Dr. Best fully active B complex so inexpensive? And what is the purpose of absorbing acid  ( a synthetic vitamin c ) included in the formula?

Well you're only getting 30 pills.  But also, this is a good brand IMO.  They're not trying to gouge the customer.  Not sure about your formulation question.
