Oster Classic 97 Professional Hair Clipper (220v)

Had to get a different model of Oster Clippers because I needed 220v. This was a great replacement. Had to replace plug so it would fit tighter into the outlets, but better than new now!

This clipper bad and low quality than anyone expected. I got from Amazon 10 months and use less than 20 hours in all ten months. The clipper hot everytime, launch the bad smell and adsolutely stop in the end.!!! More! you could found of the very bad service of this company although the bulls*** clipper under warranty, they let me sent the bulls*** clipper to Hongkong and only will repair and find dealer. I inform that the shipping cost high than the value of the bulls*** clipper, they don't care anything, insist to sent only. I tried to pick this bad clipper to Australia and I want any words to repair the bulls*** clipper, this bad service of Oster company said nothing, and require receipt from me. I told it lost and I show my order No. from Amazon., No action from this bad company also. They always say "sorry" anything "I can help" from bad service only those words. Then if anyone live in the other country does not have the dealer of the bulls*** stuff and this bad service company, you may found the bad service and none of any responsibility of bulls*** clipper, only sent sent and sent to dealer, and say Sorry (bulls*** words) from there stuffs. I think this clipper is not better than the ad, it is exaggerate words, and low quality compare with money, and you will be very up set when you found very very the best of Service of this company

After paying for some no name brands, I decided to invest 100 bucks on this one. I wished I had done this from the beginning. This unit is really Powerfull. I have had it for over two years now and haven't had any problem with it at all. Just be sure to oil it properly from time to time and clean it after each use. Good quality metal blades can be purchased separately for about 20 each. I have both the 110V and 220V international version and they are almost identical. Don't hesitate to buy one and keep it forever !

owned many clippers for home usage, none was as strong like this one. cuts very quick, and with great precision. the disadvantages are that for the powerful motor you pay in weight and heat. the clipper is very big and heavy, which is a little uncomfortable to hold. it gets really hot quickly, and after few minutes of contiguous operation, you should let it cool down if you want to use it without a guiding comb. i also use it to trim my facial hair without a guiding comb. of curse it's not smooth, but it's quick and even. overall, i'm very happy with the product.

I have owned the Oster 76 since the mid 80's. I love these clippers and specifically the blade exchange system. This makes it very easy to adjust when cutting my own hair. I was transfered to Europe in 2007 and unable to use the my 76, since they do not work well, not even with a transformer because of the hertz. Since then, I had to settle for a rechargeable system that is good at best. I finally seen and ordered the Oster 97 and I must say.....wow! Not only it performs as good as my 76, but runs cooler and quieter, and I can use all the blades I purchased for my 76. This machine is second to none.

I purchased these for my girlfriend who is in barber school. Her set was stolen from her car so i thought i would get her something top of the line. I ran into these babies on here. Once they arrived i was so excited to see her open her gift of which she was incredibly happy.. That is until we saw the plug in. Some crazy European plug. So unfortunate. They seem quite sturdy and powerful. Definitely high quality. Im surprised Oster doesn't sell this product in the US. Nonetheless i must sadly return them. Had to give three stars unfortunately as i didn't get to see them in action and im forced to pick a rating before submitting my review.

The first one is still going strong but my daughter keeps borrowing it. This is made for someone who cuts hair for a living. It is bigger and heavier than everything else and the cylindrical shape is not as easy to hold. Nevertheless, I got used to handling it very quickly and it was well worth it! This baby makes easy work of any type of hair and will last for years. Just clean and oil it regularly and you're good to go.

When I got it, it came with the Europe plug in so I order 2 different adapters and it didn’t work at my house so I took it to my shop still don’t work.

La tondeuse est bien mais surchauffe en meme pas 5 minutes d utilisation impossible de continuer. Faut attendre qu elle refroidisse vu le prix payer pour cette tondeuse je pensais que ça en valait la peine bien non je suis dégouté

UPDATE I bought these clippers 7 years ago today, they have not faltered once, I add a little oil to the blades after every use and they are still going as strong today as when I first had them 7 years ago. No regrets buying these at all. After years of buying cheaper clippers and having them stop working within months, I decided on purchasing a quality set that would last for many years to come, having researched extensively I kept coming back to the Oster brand, the Classic 67 was the clippers being regularly mentioned, but they need a transformer to work in the UK, so a little more research revealed the Oster 97, which is good to go straight from the box with a UK plug and no transformer required. The unit feels sturdy and well made and comes with a guide on care and maintenance, and a few spare internal parts, which are easily replaced when worn out, you also get some grease, oil, cleaning brush and one blade, a size 0000 which is a bit close to the bone, but extra blades can be purchased and are easily interchangeable, the instructions advise the clippers be running when you push the blade into place. Having purchased a 1A size blade I was ready to go. The clippers cut really well, the unit feels heavier than my previous cheaper clippers, but not to an excessive degree. A real bonus was the length of the power lead, which is more than enough to reach my bathroom from the plug socket, something my previous clippers couldn't manage without an extension lead. The noise when running is a bit louder than the cheaper ones I have used, but these are professional clippers that a barber would use all day in his shop, a quality motor that's built to last, so no issue for me. You don't get a storage case with these, but luckily after so many cheaper clippers had been binned I had a few spare cases to use. I've been using the Oster 97 for nearly six months now, around twice a month and have no complaints whatsoever, and because they cut so well, I find I finish cutting my hair much quicker than before. My only regret is I did not purchase the Oster 97 years ago and not wasted my money on inferior products.

En cuanto a la Oster Model 10 la compra fue mucho más complicada. Al parecer no se comercializa en Europa y por lo tanto es complicado conseguirla en España. Me encontré con varios problemas: el producto está valorado en dólares y al transformarlo en euros siempre hay una perdida del poder adquisitivo. Además llegó mucho más tarde porque el producto está almacenado en USA. Sin embargo, lo que más quebraderos de cabeza me ha provocado ha sido el hecho de que la corriente en USA y España es distinta. Tuve que comprar un transformador de corriente. La parte positiva es que el diseño vintage es extraordinario. Es una maquinilla potente, masculina y que se puede utilizar de una manera continua, en lugares como cuarteles. La Oster 97 también es otro producto excepcional. Además se comercializa en España y la recibí en casa a los pocos días de encargarla. La pagué en euros y el enchufe es el estándar que se utiliza en nuestro país. Yo creo que hay que apostar siempre por productos de calidad.

Ein Haar-Bartschneider für die Ewigkeit. Sehr solide und hochwertig verarbeitet. Unvergleichliche Schneideleistung. Ich hatte bereits Haarschneider von Wahl (Wahl Legend) und Panasonic (Er 1611) aber an diese Maschine hier kommen sie nicht ran auch wenn ich sagen muss dass ich von diesen beiden vorher genannten Marken nicht enttäuscht wurde. Das einzige was man nicht vergessen darf, ist die regelmässige Pflege des Haar-Bartschneiders (säubern, ölen und fetten). Am besten auf youtube gehen und sich die Videos "Oster Classic 76 Maintenance" anschauen. Das ist alles. Tut man das, hat man meiner Meinung nach eine Maschine für die "Ewigkeit". Ich kann nur sagen dass ich Haare und Bart (3 Tage Bart) damit schneide and dass ich bis jetzt keine bessere Maschine hatte. Dazu sieht die Maschine auch noch "old-school" aus, was ich persönlich mag. Plus Punkte : - hervorragende Schneideleistung - extrem starker Motor - Maschine hält wahrscheinlich sehr sehr lange wenn man sie auch richtig pflegt - solide Verarbeitung - langer Kabel - Vielfalt an Modellen von Scherköpfen - Fast jedes Teilchen ist austauschbar und leicht auf Amazon zu finden Minus Punkte (wenn man das dann auch wirklich als minus Punkte bezeichnen kann) - relativ hohes Gewicht - regelmässige Pflege erforderlich Beste Grüsse an alle.
