FIRESTIK 3ft Single Mirror NGP Kit Complete, Black, FG3648B

Received antenna kit very quickly from seller. Product was packaged well with no damage. Kit contained everything needed as advertised and instructions were very clear on how to install and tune the antenna. Completed installation and everything works as expected. I would recommend this antenna for fiberglass RV installations.

While clearly the pictures on Amazon shows a spring, a spring in not included. The kit isn't cheap but I suppose the spring ommission is a cost cutting measure. It remains to be seen how well this kit will work for me.Update: This was the solution to my aluminum truck problem. I tried everything except the third brake light bracket. Swrs were off the charts due to no or poor ground. I am in the safe range right off the bat. I still have yet to fine tune it. Added a quick disconnect for when I go through car washes or want to remove. It wobbles a bit but better than another brand. I don't know if that is negativity affecting anything. I just happy where it's at compared to where it was. I am mounted to toolbox at drivers side which is a poor placement. As of now I have 1.5 on channel 1 and a 2 on 40. I will get it lower but this is the best I've seen on this truck.

Doesn’t seem to be on fire but works great! Could definitely unscrew it and use it as a beating stick in a pinch if attacked in the woods by a beer or badger.

I struggled trying to mount other antennas for my Class “A” motor home while not having to drill holes in the side and run a line. This antenna did the trick. Easy to mount on my driver’s side mirror. SWR very good at no more than 1.4 to 1 across the 40 channels.

Hard pass on this one, wish I could go back in time and not purchase this antenna. Spent too much time chasing ultra high SWR. I moved the antenna, changed the grounds, did everything all the experts said to do. Upon testing the cable I discovered the cable had a short in it at the factory made pl259 connector. I replaced the conector and cleared the cable and still have above safe levels of SWR for my radio. It this point I’m hoping I haven’t damaged my CB radio. Do yourself a huge favor, buy something else and stay far away from this product.

If you are going to use a cb on your motorcycle then trust me when I say purchase a NGP antenna and NGP cable. Don't even waste your time trying to do otherwise. This antenna and cable made the world of difference in reception and transmission. We tested using the Midland hand held and the distance was over half mile with obstructions between my bike and the receiving radio in a truck. Follow the instructions to the T and you can't go wrong. Remember DO NOT CUT THE CABLE. It will definately be longer than you need. I removed my left saddle bag and ty-wrapped the extra cable to the Saddlebag mounting frame on my bike. NO COIL!! simply run it back and forth keeping each run separated from the previous until you reach the desired length. TY wrap firmly. Perfect installation when the bag is re-installed the extra cable cannot be seen and is very well protected. Firestick has it down and we are extremely happy with the results.

Fantastic antenna - at least for installation and tuning. Can't wait to see how it gets out.
