Fantastic product. Most kitchen scales can’t measure a weight less than 10 grams accurately. This one goes all the way to 1 gram with no problem. Most scales can’t pick up on an accumulation of small increments, such as slowly pouring something into a mixing bowl. If you pour enough, they’ll suddenly jump up several grams at a time. This one will tick off the grams, one at a time, no matter how slowly you pour. With other scales, you can weigh the same thing several times and get slightly different readings. This one gives you the same reading every single time. I tested this scale with a standardized brass 100g weight used for calibrating scales. It was spot-on. This Escali is on par with a laboratory instrument. It makes other kitchen scales look like junk. This kind of accuracy might not be important for everyday cooking, but it may be if measuring medicine for you or your pet, or for mixing glues, inks, or other ingredients for a crafting project. Considering that this scale costs about the same as all the others (or less), it’s a clear choice.

This little scale is extremely easy to use, easy to clean and easy for me to read without my glasses! I am a professional cook who tests a lot of recipes. Ingredient proportions by weight are the most accurate--especially in baking. The 11 pound capacity of this scale makes it perfect for weighing small batch commercial test batches of dough (5 to 10 pounds). I use it for portion control recipes and portioning out bulk items. I also use the metric measure to translate European recipes. For the home cook: The scale uses a small footprint on the counter, it is easy to clean, super easy to use and comes in a bunch of sexy colors. No kitchen should be without a scale and the Escali is the best non-commercial scale I've used. A bit of advice, as with all scales--handle it gingerly, don't bang it around--don't DROP it. Try to store it where you will be using it. The less a scale gets moved around the longer it lasts. This applies to any scale--mechanical or digital. But digital scales (commercial ones too) tend to be especially delicate when it comes to banging them around.

This scale works wonderfully. It's small enough it doesn't take up precious counter space in my tiny kitchen but works very well. it responds quickly, is easy to read, and also stays on for a long time. long enough to finish prepping what you need to weigh. I've had other scales that turn off so soon, they are useless. I also find the button to toggle between valves very helpful, as some food labels have grams and some do not. I uses it every meal. I find a dinner plate too large to read the label, but a large salad bowl is great, as is a salad plate. I've also used it to weigh out ingredients when I bake and love that. It's perfect.

It's always better to work with accurate measurements in my opinion. This scale helps you to do that in a very great way! Why you should: Easy to use, very accurate, holds a very large amount of weight and has great functions that make your life so much easier such as being able to zero out the scale while you already have weight on it so you can continually add your ingredients without having to do any math. Why you shouldn't: Something that I absolutely cannot stand about this scale is the fact that it turns off after 2 minutes of not being in use. If there is a way that I can turn off this feature I have not found it yet. It makes it very frustrating to be in the middle of cooking and measuring and then the scale just shuts off. all in all I would definitely purchase the scale again, it has been reliable, a good workhorse, excellent for the price and easy to use. However, if I was to buy a new scale because this one broke or if I just needed a new scale I would purchase one that did not turn off automatically.

I got this to replace a scale we had that stopped working. We use this to portion out servings for selling vegetables at the farmers' market, and to just track our harvest in general. We got this after reading many online professional reviews comparing scales, and this model came out on top of most of those. It is easy to use -- with a button you can switch between metric and US measurements, and can scale it up or down (from ounces to pounds, or grams to kilograms, for instance). You can easily tare with a button. This would also be great for cooking by weight... Put your bowl on, tare, measure your first ingredient. Tare again to zero it out, and put in your second ingredient, etc. We use this mainly for ferments, when controlling the weight ratio of, for example, salt and water for a brined ferment.

I bought this for my wife who is an excellent baker/cook. She loved her old scale, but this replacement is even better. She constantly tells me how much she likes it. Sorry, I can’t provide more details other than the opinion of an expert Baker and Cook.

This scale came recommended as the most bang for your buck. Seems very accurate for a kitchen scale. The sweet spot appears to be dead center. No complaints.

Excellent product. It is small in size, which is great as it doesn’t take much cupboard space. It is plastic so it is very light, but it works extremely well, it is accurate and very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Hi everyone... unfortunately I bought this only to find out that it is completely misrepresented in the photos and description. It is plastic (low grade at that) not "metallic" at all. There are food scales at half the price made out of stainless steel. This is a complete rip off, and a terrible product at that. DO NOT BUY. I repeat, do not buy! This is not what it looks like in the photos, does not work well, and is WAY more expensive than some of the better options on the market and on Amazon. Oh and did I mention it came in a completely different colour than what I had ordered? Ugh. Now I have to go through the headache of returning.

I have tried many brands. All I can say is this is truly a great product. Its really fast, stable and accurate! Just hoping that the durability part is just as impressive...
