This tea kettle with built-in thermometer has quickly become part of my daily routine. The 40oz capacity is just right for a few cups at a time without feeling bulky, and the gooseneck spout gives excellent control for precise pouring, especially for pour-over coffee and loose-leaf tea. The integrated thermometer is a standout feature. It makes it easy to heat water to the ideal temperature without guessing, which is great for different types of tea. The kettle heats evenly on the stovetop and feels solid and well-made. The matte black finish also looks great on the counter and stove. Overall, this is a well-designed, functional kettle that balances form and function nicely. If you care about water temperature and clean, controlled pours, this is a great buy. Highly recommended!

Nice kettle, it looks high quality. The thermometer makes it practical if you know the temperature you prefer your either coffee or in my case mate.

We use this at least twice/day to make pourover coffee, and many days it's used again for tea, water for cooking, etc. There are many pluses, a few minuses... On the plus side, I love the matte black, I really appreciate the temperature gauge, the water heats up very quickly, and the pour spout usually gives a nice even flow (see below). Somewhere in the middle: I mostly love that it doesn't have a whistle but I sometimes get busy and forget that I'm boiling water (see below for more on why that's a problem). In addition, if the water is near boiling and it's the last little bit of water, the pour stream is a little more "bubbly" (less even flow). On the minus side, I have found that the paint around the very bottom is burning off and it smells; I'm not concerned that it's getting into our water but it's a little off-putting either way. I also think the temperature gauge is less reliable when the kettle isn't full (it seems like it needs most of the metal rod submerged to be accurate). And lastly, as noted above I occasionally forget I'm boiling water and, similar to other reviewers, the boiling water can spray out so be careful!! Overall, we like it and none of the "minuses" are dealbreakers so we'll keep using it.

Works and looks just as described and shown! Perfect for my expresso and pour overs! Gets hot, the handle is great as it keeps your fingers away from pot.

DANGER! READ the negative reviews on this Apusu black 1.3 qt stovetop tea kettle. Folks warn that this kettle is poorly constructed, prone to rust, painted with a toxic substance, not easy to use as a pour over, smaller than it seems bc you can’t fill it to capacity, has a substandard thermometer, has nonexistent customer service, and is definitely not value for money. Hubby read only the positive reviews and ordered. Here’s our experience: we followed instructions to wash the kettle and boil a couple pots before use. First, we had a smoke bomb going up with a stench in the kitchen. Hubby turned on the vent and figured manufacturing didn’t do their job making sure the kettle was primed for retail. So, he tried again. This time he filled it, placed it on the induction cooktop, turned burner on high, and turned back to the sink. Luckily, I walked through the kitchen. The kettle was spewing water over the entire cooktop. Grabbing a towel, I was able to save the electronics. No whistle to warn it had come to a boil. I was ready to call it quits. He wanted to give it another chance on a lower heat setting. He only filled it halfway, used a med. high setting, but apparently wasn’t watching it closely, because, again I came to the rescue, sopping up the boiling water that was spewing from the spout. That was when I decided we’d better read a few more reviews. This pot shouldn’t be sold for induction cooktops. It’s a danger to the stove, and you. After reading the reviews, he agreed; way too many folks have said the same. Do yourself a favor, and dodge a bullet. We still have the burning chemical smell in our kitchen to remind us, we didn’t.

La jarra es muy bonita, en la estufa de inducción calienta perfectamente y es comodísima. El termómetro funciona muy bien y tiene marcada la temperatura de ebullición del agua. Para usarla con métodos de café como la V60 es muy precisa. Me encantó.

Works as intended woth no issues. I have had this kettle for over a year now and no complaints whatsoever.

Me gustó mucho, el termómetro funciona muy bien, además dado el diseño de la olla, el agua llega más rápido al punto de temperatura buscado comparado con la simple olla sin tapa tradicional, además el mango es excelente para agarrarla sin tener que buscar un trapo. Sin mencionar que el color negro se ve elegante.

I bought this kettle to use in our travel trailer this summer, but have moved it into the house now because I love it so much! It’s large enough for a full tea pot’s worth of water. I love the thermostat, no more boiling water for tea!
