Udderly Smooth Extra Care Hand/Body Deep Moisturizing Cream with 20% Urea, Unscented, 8 Ounce

Bought this as I developed hand and foot syndrome from chemo pills (which is a common side effect). I apply this to the palms of my hands (and fingers) and the soles of my feet twice a day. It helps a lot. It doesn’t work like magic and all of a sudden everything is normal again, at least not with me, but it reduces the dryness and reduces the chances of getting blisters. For folks in that situation, consider liner socks to reduce friction and gloves when doing something that creates friction on the hands. And consistently use this cream. I even told my oncologist I started using this and he said good choice. (Yes he should have mentioned this beforehand).

This is really an excellent product. I have tried various lotions for keratosis pilaris and dry skin. Treatments for keratosis pilaris include: urea, AHAs (glycolic acid, lactic acid), and BHAs (salicylic acid). Amlactin (lactic acid) works but the smell used to be weird- not sure if improved now. I used cerave SA lotion when it only cost around $10; salicylic acid is a less expensive ingredient and that product is way too expensive now. My 2 favorite treatments for kp are this 20% urea cream and lotion with ~12% glycolic acid. I have seen many articles with recommendations for lotions/creams for kp that are way too expensive. Not necessary to spend so much when Udderly Smooth makes unscented urea cream and there are also unscented glycolic acid lotions/creams available for under $20. Another lotion I have not tried yet but is a good product based on ingredients and price is Eucerin Roughness Relief; for those that dont need as high a concentration of urea (kp not as severe), that would be a good option. -advice from a medical student who has very dry, rough, flaky skin (without lotions) and keratosis pilaris

I was suffering from terrible dermatitis on my hands: splitting fingers, peeling skin, shingled scales forming, particularly on my fingertips and on the knuckle joints. Nothing was working; not any commercial hand creams or soaks in Listerine or smothering with VapoRub. I tried O'Keefe's Working Hands - no improvement, and the cream left a sticky residue. Then I tried Bag Balm - it helped quite a bit, but even when I wore cotton gloves over the balm it was so greasy it left stains on sheets and clothing. Finally, I read on The People's Pharmacy website that what was needed for healing was a cream with a high urea concentration, and they recommended Udderly Smooth Extra Care Cream with 20% Urea. (They also fully disclosed that Udderly Smooth was one of their sponsors.) I ordered a jar. A miracle! Within two months all of my splitting and peeling was gone, and my hands are now soft and smooth and healed. The cream soaks in and leaves a satiny feeling that does not stain or stick. At first I really slathered it on and wore gloves at night, but now I just rub it into my hands any time of day and can use my computer, my phone, and touch any surface without leaving any residue. I am so grateful to have found this product!

This is a nice hand and body creme to help shed some dead skin. It will leave the skin soft and moist. It has no scent which I like. It is a little thin which is the only reason for 1 less star. You can always trust this brand for quality ingredients.

I have been using this on my hands for relief from hand/foot syndrome (a side effect from medication). It has a nice consistency and feels good on my hands. It has given me great relief.

Great product with an even better price. I was looking for a urea lotion as I deal with psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis and have read many articles raving about the benefits of urea to treat these issues. I found this cream and for less than $5 I figured giving it a try couldn't hurt. The cream arrived shrink wrapped and in good condition. Once the shrink wrap was removed there was no additional ways the cream was sealed so if you receive one without plastic over the top of the inside of the jar it seems it's supposed to be like this. The cream has no smell, it's very lightweight, and doesn't leave a sticky feeling. I noticed the difference the very next day after applying it the night before. The only down side I have found is that this is a lotion you should put on before bed or if you don't plan on going out as it leaves a slightly chalky residue on the skin that rubs/flakes off a bit. This is a lotion that is meant to treat dry skin over time and not something you would want to put on just to make your skin look less dry before going out.

Nice natural moisturising

Thi is a great cream with high urea content for dry skin. Only wish it was more easily absorbed.
