USB Hub VENTION 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub 1.5FT Ultra-Slim Data USB Splitter Charging Supported Compatible with MacBook, Laptop, Surface Pro, PS4, PC, Flash Drive, Mobile HDD

I have a Dell Touchscreen PC that operates off a laptop motherboard and with only 4 USB ports, I was running out of USB ports between my printers, cameras microphones, Keyboard and Mouse. Every other hub that i looked at with the same features needed power and this one didn't so worked out really well.

This works fine as a USB hub, once everything has settled down. But unlike all other USB devices I have used recently, when I plug it into the computer or docking station, it seemed to paralyze the system. My docking station went haywire until I power-cycled everything, and the computer seemed to have some trouble for a few seconds.I haven't seen this behavior with other USB devices, so I'm *guessing* that there's something weird about this one. I tried moving the components I plugged into this thing into other USB ports, and they don't show the same sort of disruption when I hot-plug them. Then I plugged this device alone, without any USB devices attached to it, into the USB port, and I saw things go haywire for a few seconds.So I can't recommend this device. I don't know if I got a lemon or if there really is a design problem with this thing.

Transitioned to full-time permanent work from home. Problem was that my laptop dock had just 2 USBs, and one was tied up with the mouse dongle. So I found this solution so that I could charge two cell phones and a smart watch while I work. Only complaint is that it is SLOOOOOW in charging the phones. I guess that makes sense because you're (in theory) splitting the voltage 3 ways. Still can't complain, as at end of the workday all my devices are charged. Worth the money for sure.

This device arrived quickly and performs exactly as it should. I use one on my Nvidia Shield so I can plug in additional USB devices. I also have one on my laptop for the same purpose. They both work great and are a great value for the price.

These tests were very quick tests and the results need to be taken as a grain of salt... but they seem to make sense.I tested the hub with two SSDs and a hard drive... first a quick test connecting each drive to the USB 3.0 port on the motherboard using SABRENT SSD to USB adapters, to get a baseline (one at a time, same port)... Then the two SSD drives connected to the motherboard using two different USB 3.0 ports simultaneously .Finally I tested two drives at a time on the VENTION hub... The two SSD and then a SSD+HDD.Results were not bad at all.... apparently the HUB itself limited the TOTAL bandwidth to around 550MB/s

Out of the box and plugged it in and it works great. I've had to go back and forth between two different computers and no problems. I would recommend it to anyone.

I've been using this device to split one USB outlet into four for a couple months now and am very satisfied. I plugged it into a power bank by my computer, but I've also plugged it into my laptop. Seems like everything charges or plugs in by USB now...my phone, my watch, my wireless speaker, the lamp on my computer desk, and the ports on the computer were all in use. This is working great! I'm very happy with the quality, the price, and the compact, sleek design.

My wife got it for work in her office. She says it works great and free up her usb ports for other things. So that's a short and sweet review.
