Barilla Stelline Pasta 12 oz

Like other reviewers, this is my favorite food from childhood. It's wonderful! Pastina is a "macaroni cereal". You simmer in liquid of your choice, water, broth, milk, and when liquid cooks down, pastina has the consistency of hot cereal. No grocery stores in Phoenix carry it anymore. SO HAPPY Amazon has it. The Barilla is excellent quality, no difference from the old Ronzoni that my mom bought back in the early 1960s. I know it's a little pricey @$7.00 a box, but it's worth every penny to enjoy it again. I noticed if you purchase groceries through Amazon Fresh it's only $1.79 a box, so if you order other groceries, you'd save some money that way. Again, the Barilla is excellent quality; package was delivered in a cardboard box, and was sealed in a heavy duty plastic wrap, so no issues with package being torn and contents spilling. Great job, Amazon, I will be ordering this on a regular basis from now on.

This is one of my two go to brands for pasta. It has far superior taste and texture compared with some of our local store brands. If you want to make a good pasta, regardless of the type, I usually always stick to this brand and Dececco. The quality is there and you can taste the difference.

Good value for the quantity. Cooked quick and tasted great.

Hard to find in stores.

The stars are tiny so you can hardly see the shape. Barilla is a good brand so the pasta is good quality. Very good value for the money.

This is a good pasta, I love this brand. Glad i found it on Amazon, couldn't find it at the store. The taste and texture is good. Good size ox for the price. Easy to cook up and enjoy.

I grew up on Pastina and I love it. When feeling ill my Mom would always make a nice bowl of pastina and it was the cure all in Italian households. I still love it but had trouble finding it in my local grocery stores. Of course, Amazon sells it. Amazon sells everything!
