Exactly as described
It has worked great on the couple of projects that I have used it on. It definitely helped the drawers slide better. It is a little hard and need some pressure to apply it. Would buy again.

Practical Product To Have On Hand
I bought this product because I needed something to help my wooden, trackless drawers to slide in their frames smoothly. This did the trick perfectly and I have even used it on the edge of the front door where the frame has gotten moist and swollen a bit from rain and was catching and now it closes smoothly. I also have ended up using this on the old wooden window sashes in my house. Super easy to apply, no noxious smells or chemicals--just a practical thing to have on hand to make life quieter, smoother, and easier.

Money Well Spent
The wax is for my woodworking husband and he said it was a better quality than the kind you can grab at the local hardware store. Even though its a small quantity he says it will go farther.

Small and hard
This is useless unless the wax is heated otherwise it’s just a hard puck!

Need to use correctly for it to work
After reading many of the negative reviews and after my own trial-and-error experience I have come to believe this product requires a more involved application process than many are probably doing. For lubrication of wooden drawer slides simply rubbing the wax onto the wood is likely going to increase friction and make the drawers "sticky". I have found the following process to be effective. The goal is to impregnate the wood with the wax, remove all excess wax and polish the wax surface by sanding it with fine sandpaper. Impregnating the wood with the wax requires heat. You can use a clothes iron, preferably without holes in the base (non-steam iron) or with a hot air gun. I used the latter which made it easy to get into tight areas. Carefully look at where the drawer slides contact each other. These are the only areas that need to be coated. Heat the wood with the hot air and apply wax to the heated wood. Then apply heat to the waxed surface and repeat until the wax is melted into the wood and the surface is completely coated with wax. You can actually see the wax turn to liquid and soak into the wood. You can tell which areas need more wax by the color, in my case non-waxed areas were slightly white in color. After you've covered the slides with wax, with light pressure, in one stroke slide the wax puck over the full length of the slide. If the puck sticks, a little more wax will come off. Heat those areas to melt the wax in. Keep doing this until the puck glides freely. Use a metal or plexi scraper to scrape off excess wax (I used a scraper sold for waxing skis). Lightly sand the surface with 400-800 grit sand paper and finish sand with 1500-1800 grit sandpaper. I like to sand the full length of the slide in one stroke, rather than back-and-forth in shorter areas, to keep the surface even. This process significantly reduced friction and greatly improved the sliding action of my drawers.

Worked great!
Used this Bee's wax on an antique chest of drawers. A few of the draws were sounding like nails on a chalkboard. Used the bees wax on the center wood rail and on the left and right of the drawers bottom. Although the weather has been unusually cold so the wax is not fluid at all, the drawers now pull out smoothly without the screech/scratchy sound. Worked just as expected and happy with this product!

Real beeswax. Nothing else.
The real deal. Pure beeswax. Very durable. Of course you must heat it to make it pliable or melt it, and also preheat whatever you are applying it to to at least 125-130° F. So it’s not super easy to apply or for the modern “spray it on and wipe” mindset but it lasts longer than anything and can be used for myriad different things—for sinstance will waterproof any natural fabric and some that aren’t natural better than any other substance. And it’s not toxic and has no teflon type PFOAs or other so-called “devil’s p***” (I didn’t make that up—google “PFOAs devil’s p***”, without the asterisks) chemicals in it. It’s the real deal, great stuff.

Disappointing
Disappointing and not what I expected. First, this is a tiny amount of wax for $9.15; the cake of wax measures 2" diameter x 1/2" thick. Second, I was hoping for something easier to apply. This wax is incredibly hard, like a piece of plastic, it will take considerable time and effort to get any of this wax rubbed off on whatever you hope to lubricate. Overall, I really wish I had bought a different brand of product, this one is extremely disappointing.

Used this on an old wooden dresser where the drawers were loud and clunky when opening and closing. Rub this right on the wood surface that slides and it cleared it right up.
