Keeps Ants OUT of My Townhouse!
Living in South Florida, we would get waves of medium and tiny ants invading our townhouse all throughout the year. Huge nuisance, would treat indoors by placing Terro baits wherever the ants swarmed to, which was effective but unsightly and a pain in the butt. Few years ago I noticed ant colonies in a ground planter near my front door, and also in some of the potted plants in my front courtyard. These were definitely not fire ants (living in FL, you betcha I know the difference!) but my research on granular ant killers told me that, basically, an ant is an ant, and this product will kill any ant that comes in contact with it. It's cheap enough at $5, so I bought a bag and sprinkled it everywhere in my front courtyard where there was soil, and watered it in. Halleluiah Chorus!!! Not only did it wipe out all of the ants in my front courtyard, but when my neighbors were complaining about the ritual ant invasions into their townhouses, I thought "Huh. We're not seeing a single ant, haven't for months..." The light bulb went off in my brain at that point, and ever since we've applied this product every 3 months to all of the soil and potted plants around our home. Even the pots on the balcony. For the past 3 years, I have only noticed ants in the house maybe 1 time and had to set out a Terro bait. I'd say it cut down our nuisance indoor ants by 90%. Wish I'd figured this out years ago, so wrote this review to maybe help others who are fighting the good fight with ants coming indoors - the trick is to cut them off at the pass. Cheers!

Practical and Effective Fire Ant Control Without Breaking the Bank
I’ve used this on several ant mounds in my yard, and overall it works well for what it’s meant to do. The granules are easy to apply, and I appreciate that the product starts working fairly quickly after spreading. For smaller or medium-sized mounds, I’ve seen noticeable reduction in ant activity within a couple of days. While it may not eliminate every ant instantly, it’s a very good value for the price, especially if you have multiple mounds to treat. I also like that it’s granular, which allows for precise application rather than over-spraying chemicals unnecessarily. It’s straightforward, no-fuss, and gives peace of mind knowing that fire ants are being actively managed. For anyone who wants an affordable, reliable option to tackle fire ants without spending a fortune, this product hits the mark. Just be aware that very large mounds might require a second application or combination with other methods for full control.

Amazingly Inexpensive and Effective
Used exactly as directed by instructions, 24 hours later entire fire ant colonies were eradicated. Instructions states place in early morning or evening, when fire ants are foraging. I elected to place this in the evening so there would be more time for them to forage, find, and carry to the depths of the colony. This may have been an incorrect assumption, but, it worked. Once sprinkled with the instructed amount of water the odor was strong and a bit unpleasant but not unbearable. The odor was gone the next day, so were the fire ants. Other products that state they kill the fire ants are far more expensive, about 9 times more expensive, yet they only use one method. This product has at least two methods, keeps the eggs from hatching, and kills the ants and queen. This was only about $4.48 for 3.5 lbs very economical. It's been a week since I applied this product and killed the colonies, no evidence that the colony or mound moved i.e. No new mounds anywhere in my yard.

It works great
After reading the reviews on this product I decided that I would give it a shot. The recent rains that we’ve had and because I am on much higher ground than my neighbors it seems that all the ants have moved in. After one night working late unloading my truck I left a bag of potting mix on top of the ant pile. When I picked up the bag of soil I was covered with fire ants. I ordered this product after reading the reviews and thought I would give it a try. Less than 24 hours I could see the piles of dead fire ants off the side of the mound. This product does start killing as soon as you apply it and within 24 hours the whole mount is dead. I was afraid that the ants would move to a different area and create a new mound but this is not the case if you follow the directions. I disturb the mound and had all the fire ants come to the top I sprinkled around the mound and on top of the mound and watered in as directed big success. Thank you everyone for the reviews that made me purchase this product . I no longer have any fire ants in my garden
