Fun World Popeye Adult Costume

You can’t talk too poorly about this costume. 1. Popeye is awesome 2. It’s 25$ for the costume, so expect cheap quality, I mean it is a costume that you will wear once a year, so don’t complain. 3. It fit well, I’m 6’1 190lbs. The hat was small but it dosent matter, I plopped in right on top anyway. 4. It’s supposed to look goofy so don’t be so harsh on yourself. 5. The arms were short and you might want to stuff it with something to get it plump, but you don’t have to. 6. Happy Halloween!

True to size—XL fits a 230 lb guy, good quality for a costume, muscles are great to be filled with old t-shirts! Wish it had a corncob pipe.

I'm 5'9, 163. I ordered the "Standard" or Large size. I'm glad I did. This seems to run small, so I'd be sure to size up. The shirt has really no give and the pants are a fabric that doesn't stretch either. Glad for the other reviews that mentioned the size. The shirt fits me perfect. The pants are a little big and the length a little long. The waist is stretchy, so they stay up fine. It's a decent costume for the money. I polished the look off by also purchasing the pipe and "spinach" can cover.

The costume right out the bag needs some adjusting: none of the seams are finished, an easy fix if you have access to a sewing machine and have basic sewing skills. While at it I took in the shirt and pants some as my husband is pretty slim. I also added belt loops made out of the yellow belt fabric. Luckily it was very long and I was able to cut off several inches. The hat is very small, so we replaced it with a captains hat found at a party store. The Corn pipe isn't included but a cheap add on when ordering. The arms are fine by themselves, but I had pillow stuffing laying around so that made them much more puffy and they looked great. Overall a huge hit, we went to a Comic-Con party and everybody loved it.

What a pathetic excuse for a costume! The "pants" wouldn't even be considered pajamas, let alone worn in public, and the elastic was barely stitched to the top with no waistband. The "Sailor Hat" was anything but. It has no structure, doesn't stand up and looks like a nitecap - I guess to go along with the pajama bottoms! The "Muscle Arms" were flat, wouldn't stay up on the arm and had to be stuffed to maintain any shape. The sleeves on the shirt were not long enough to cover the unfinished edge of the "Muscle Arms" We had to go out and buy a real Sailor hat and Corn Cob pipe which added another $15 to the cost of the costume, and my husband wore blue jeans and his own Navy sweater to keep the arms on. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!

I bought this "One Size" Popeye costume for a 20's party and it worked but let me give fair warning. It is cheaply made as you can expect and you'll probably only get 1 wear out of it. The seams sounded like they were popping as I pulled it on and off. I'm 5'9" tall and 160 lbs and it fit me but anyone larger would not have been able to get the black top on. The pants length was fine. The hat didn't fit on me or my 6 year old son. It did however fit on my 2 year old son (barely), so think again if you are planning to wear it. I was able to find another sailor hat to wear. For the arms, you will need lots of stuffing to make them look like the picture. I bought stuffing from Walmart used to stuff toy animals and shoved lots of it between a long sleeve shirt I wore underneath and the arms. Without stuffing in the arms, it would definitely look stupid.

It was a nice costume was really awesome

My boyfriend is 5 foot 7 145 lb and he got the medium. It fit okay, but the sleeves were really tight, and the belt was super long. We had to cut it and pin it to keep it in place because it kept slipping through the belt buckle. I wish the pants had belt loops for the belt. Also the cap was a little bit small. He was able to get it on and it stayed on okay, but it could have been a little bit bigger.

Good party costume, abit expensive

It had all the elements, but had to adjust so it fitted abd layer right. Could understand why some items were not attached together but separate. It did its job but too expensive for my liking for the quality.

Sometimes you're not sure of what you're going to get in terms of size. All in all pretty good. The material quality is as good as you'd expect for the cost!
