PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S - Metallic Blue Camo

Hadn't spotted anyone mentioning the d-pad on these controllers so I thought I'd drop in a quick review. I play a lot of fighting games - normally on PC where I've got a cheap/adequate fighting stick and on PS4 with a Hori Fighting Commander. I've recently picked up a few fighting games on Xbox but have been struggling with my original Xbox One pads due to their rapid wear-and-tear of the d-pads (not registering presses, double-pressing etc). I've also got an Xbox Series S and the pad for that is much better but I'm not a fan of the recessed d-pad. I wanted something to play the occasional fighting game on the Xbox that wasn't going to break the bank. So far - the PowerA has been the answer! I'm really surprised at how accurate this d-pad is: very easy to finish on a diagonal, light to press but without registering any unwanted jumps etc. I've never been much of a KoF player but on KoF 15 I'm pulling off those supers with ease (you know, the nasty quarter circle back, half circle forward). PC compatibility is fine too (Xinput). The d-pad appears to use a rubber membrane (similar to the 360 controllers) rather than those nasty dome-switches on the official Xbox One controllers. Everything else? Great! Sticks feel just like a regular Xbox One controller - movement feels 1-1 with them (not like some third party controllers where the dead zone feels off for example). The triggers do feel a little lighter - like the springs aren't quick as heavy duty - but nothing too offputting. The paddle buttons on the back work well. Just to clarify - these are for mapping a button press - they are not for recording macros. Still pretty useful - for example, you could map L3 to one of them to quickly run in a FPS instead of clicking in the left stick etc. Time will tell what the durability of this controller will be but so far so good. The only minor downside I can see is that the cable is USB-A to micro-USB. USB-C would have been nice (no more trying to plug it in the wrong way!) however I'm not really likely to unplug it from the controller end and the fit is snug. And this is just me being greedy, but it would have been fantastic if they could have had this switchable to work on other consoles! Excellent value for money - would definitely recommend. /Andy

I bought the controller 2 months ago, worked fine at first, now it keeps disconnecting and now the mic won't unmute and just annoys my friends with a buzzing sound... If this is what they call an enhanced controller then it's a joke. Contacted customer service but still waiting on a reply

I bought this for my husband and he loved it. Unfortunately it did break within a month so I complained and a new one was sent immediately. Great customer service. The replacement has been working fine for the last 2 months. so far, so good.

I used this controller for almost 4 months, i saw my left stick get severe stick drift and it didnt take long for the right stick to follow suite, for the price of 25 pounds i would say its good for a gamer on a budget, i have ordered a new controller but this time with the new hall effect option from power a, while i am not upset or dissapointed considering the price of the product, i will give this a 3 star rating.

Superb budget controller. Nice long lead (i added a 2mtr extension and no issues), solid build, responsive sticks and nice buttons. Great analogue triggers. Have used Nintendo original controllers for years but needed one for my retro gaming PC and am really happy with this. Not quite Switch Pro Controller quality but probably better value for money!

My first one I bought the left joystick had a tiny stick drift but I wasn’t to bothered but then after a month it was unusable so I just thought it was a one off faulty controller so I bought a second one and again after a month the right joystick was unusable it won’t work when I press it down and the stick drift is not usable so don’t get this controller wasted about 60 quid what a joke

Great looking controller and feels great in the hands. Nice and light to hold with perfect back buttons positions. Triggers are great and very responsive, like with all the other buttons. Very generous length in cable that is perfect for my sitting position away from the tv. Great controller for shooting games, highly recommended. Great price too

I was looking for a cheaper alternative for an Xbox controller to play Elden Ring and this really did the job! It connected to my PC with no issues or no further programmes needing to be installed. The response time was really good all while looking cute. Overall, great value for money and does exactly what I need it to!!

Mesela ben “A” ile zıpalamak “B” ile eğilmek yerine arka bölümde bulunan tuşları kullanıyorum.

Controller Molto buono, finora è andato molto bene e costa poco. Avendo i pulsanti configurabili risulta facile giocare , consigliatissima

Tenía dudas si comprar el control o no, pero me arriesgue e hice bien en hacerlo, muy buen control, es muy rápido (responde al momento los gestos) y no se siente de plástico barato, los contra? Es alambrico, lo destaco ya que algunos no les gustan esos tipos de controles, además de eso, a mi gusto, los botones A, B, Y, X los siento algo más levantados, comparados con unos controles inalámbricos, fuera de eso, es una muy buena compra por su precio.

Drift/drag on left stick after about 3.5 months of intermediate/heavy use. Felt good when it worked though. Edit: Got a second one since I liked the first one and was hoping drift wouldn't set it. Starting to get drift after only two months this time. What a waste...
