Is it legit? YES
Was wary about ordering a kanken mini off amazon, but looking at the bag it has all hallmarks of being legit merch from Fjallraven. Inside is finished well, logo is reflective, wasa6 on snaps and fox logo, zippers have the correct earmarks- Fjallraven, fox, ykk. Has a Swedish flag inside, and all item numbers match on tag inside bag and on hang tag. Material is nice quality and is water resistant. I can fit a Standard size Travelers Notebook inside with a pocket size leather notebook and have room for another zipper pouch with lots of items. It can also fit an A5 size TN. So pretty much what ever size TN you have will fit with room to spare. It will NOT hold a composition size notebook. If you need that, size up to the next biggest backpack. It does come with the plastic seat pad. This does help keep the structure of the bag. If you want to, you could ditch it, and use the pocket for extra storage. An iPhone 7 Plus will fit in the side pockets and barely peek out the top. I have a popsocket on mine, and it fits no problem. Front zipper pocket is roomy enough for my car keys, a key ring with loyalty cards, and some chapstick, and room to spare. I am a plus size gal, and I can wear this as a backpack. The difference between this model and the kids version is that this has longer straps so adults can wear it. Kids straps are shorter. This is a great backpack that can be used as a hand carried bag. Unisex so also good for men. Color selection is great. I chose graphite to not show much dirt. I do have to say, getting the snaps through the rings at top to lengthen the straps was a PAIN in the behind. Also wish there was a way to close the side pockets to keep things securely in. But all in all, this is a great product. Would I recommend it? Yes. My every day carry is the essentials, with nice leather travelers notebooks. Having my leather protected from the elements is nice. And easy access to what I need is a plus. Buy with confidence!

truly a bag of holding!
i bought this mini pack in 2015 and it's still going strong with nearly daily use. it's a great purse that doesn't cause shoulder pain because the weight is evenly distributed across the upper back. it's also surprisingly roomy. i bought a Cocoon Innovations GRID-IT! 8-Inch Accessory Organizer with Tablet Pocket (CPG41BKT) to organize the innards. i usually put my kindle in the cocoon's pocket where it is well protected. i've filled up the grid of the cocoon with tape, pens, a rhodia notepad holder, a small moleskin notebook, a mini maglight, a pack of mints, a small knife, and more. this fits snugly in the bag and the pack unzips all the way for easy access to everything if necessary. on the sides of this i have a small bottle of pills. i then have room for a glucometer, a book of crossword puzzles, a can of coke, and a bottle of gatorade. it's truly a bag of holding! the side pocket isn't really good for much. it doesn't close so i feel like anything i'd put in there would be insecure. even though the front pocket is tiny, i can jam a lot in there, too. there is a small cushion for tiny children to sit on in the back panel, which makes the pack pretty comfortable. it's also a kind of hidden pocket because the cocoon fits so perfectly in the back. i highly recommend this surprisingly roomy and durable bag. plus, it's super cute.

Authentic bag, very cute. But straps on small side.
I bought this bag to replace my 15 year old mini Jans sport. I looked at all the signs for knock off and it has all of the authentic measures. It is extremely cute and perfect size as far as would hold mini umbrella, rain coat, keys, phone etc. things I carry when traveling. Hiking or museums etc. But… I am returning due to the small straps. I am 5’5” 125 lbs and I really struggled to get it on and off. (And yes I watched the YouTube videos for strap instruction) i LOVE everything else about this bag and would keep if it were not for the straps. If it were under $10 I’d keep it and give it away to a friend with young kids.

Nice and small but not super small
It is the perfect size for a short hiking trip or if you need something to hold a water bottle, some snacks and your essentials. It is authentic and durable- I am able to shove 2 water bottles, my phone, wallet and a light weight jacket in there. I like the slit pocket that rests up against your back to hold my wallet and phone - I feel more secured that way that I won’t get pickpocketed.

Bag
Got this for my wife she loves it. Nice to use for trips rather than a purse, more room and easy to carry around. Comes in all different sizes.

Definitely authentic and not fake
I checked it very thoroughly and there is no question about its' authenticity. I love the mini size for when I walk 6 miles with my 3 dogs. It will hold 2 water bottles and a little metal bowl and keys, iPhone, wallet, etc. It won't hold a rain jacket or clothing if you wanted to add or remove a layer. It would also work well if I traveled and wanted my hands free. I really like the size and it's cute. I had a pack that was cross body but at 62, I found it was hurting my back, shoulder, and hips. If the straps need padding, the pads can be purchased separately.

Amazing little backpack that fits a lot
I bought this little backpack for our Spring break trip and am really satisfied with the quality of the material, the minimalist design, and how much it can hold. It was a bit tight for all the things I wanted to bring on the plane, but once at the destination, it became my daypack and held everything I needed. I just wish the side pockets were expandable to actually hold a regular water bottle. Especially when the main compartment is full, there is just enough space in the side pockets to hold a snack bar or a pack of tissue. I had to either put my water bottle in the main compartment, or clip it to the handle on the outside with a D-ring. Overall, though, I'm in love with this bag and will take it on every trip from now on.

Carino, piccolo ma allo stesso tempo capiente, con tante taschine comode. Comoda zip che apre quasi del tutto lo zaino, se serve.

I spent a while weighing up whether or not the Kånken Mini would be worth it, and eventually decided that it would be. I was right. It's the perfect size for a day bag: you can fit a book, bottle of water (I've got a 500ml Chilly's bottle [also recommended] to go in there, but have also fit a 750ml plastic water bottle in there), medicine/make-up bag, notebook, snacks, phone charger...pretty much everything you'd need for a day out. The fact that it's a rucksack means it's kinder on one's back than a satchel or handbag; in fact, this and the Herschel I've got for work have made a significant difference in this regard. The straps take a bit of working out, and I think they might dig in if they were too tight, you had lots of heavy stuff in the bag, and/or you were wearing a vest or tank-top, but I don't think it's a big enough problem every day to make the Kånken not worth it - especially as you can't really fit lots of heavy stuff in the Mini! You can get padded straps from Fjällräven for some bags, so that's something to consider if you were concerned. The Mini has a few sections: a small one on the front, at the bottom, which is good for (surprisingly) small things, such as keys; the main compartment, which has a separate pocket at the back and features a light bit of polystyrene (?) - quite thin and almost long as the bag, this seems to help the bag keep shape, but is, apparently, for you to use as a makeshift cushion if you find yourself needing one when out and about; and two pockets on either side of the bag, which are, irritatingly, not big enough to hold water, but can contain something like a phone/iPod or card wallet (if you're sure you're not near pickpockets!). I haven't tested the bag in the rain yet, but the material seems relatively hardy and durable... Fjällräven/Amazon say it's made of 'Vinylon F, a highly durable, abrasion and water resistant fabric that softens with age and washes and becomes increasingly robust as the fibers in the fabric tighten from use', so maybe it is waterproof! I'd still carry valuables/electrical things in a waterproof case/bag, though.. There's no aeration system, so it's been pretty warm and a little sweaty in the hot weather as it sits against the bag; the best way to deal with this is to put a cold compress (acquired from somewhere like Boots and kept in the freezer) in the back pocket/section...it's delightful while it lasts, though it doesn't last for as long as you'd like it to, alas! The colour is obviously a matter of preference, but I think the Kånken runs a bit lighter in the flesh/material than in photos; I got the granite and find it a lighter grey than it looks on Amazon/the Fjällräven website. It's fine, but I wouldn't have picked it, if that makes sense. In short: get one of these! It's useful, practical and good for your back.

I love these backpacks ( I now own six of them in different colours!) The mini is the size of a medium handbag and therefore ideal for work as I can comfortably fit in an umbrella, purse, glasses, make up bag, I pad, phone etc and still have room for a flask. It's really comfortable to carry on the shoulder and the dual handles make accessing the inside really easy. Highly recommend. Watch out for fakes though, I received one a few weeks ago and returned it pronto.
