I learned to sew on a treadle machine when I was 12, over 65 years ago! I wanted a light weight, basic machine, easy to thread, easy to use. I love this little machine. It I so easy to use, so easily adjustable. I gave away a very expensive, "sews through anything", machine because it just did not adjust easily or sew evenly. This little machine is my "go to" for everyday stuff. We shrink as we get older and lots of pants have to be shortened. Granddaughters think we can fix anything and buy sparkle encrusted gowns that are slippery fabric and too long! Grandmas fix these things with pleasure and love and this little sewing machine.

I am so pleased with my sewing machine. Its so easy and simple to use, so it would be good for a beginner. Its easy to move around. After I use it, I put the cover back over it and push it back towards the wall on my desk(I use a computer desk for my sewing table) and it just slides back easily. I'm not a heavy user like I used to be. But I've made three housedresses with it, did a few repairs, and next I plan to make myself one of those scrubs outfits to wear around the house, and a patchwork coat. My old one is worn out and I certainly did like wearing a coat that looked like a quilt. I got compliments all the time. And my new little sewing machine will make it all just fine!

I love this new singer simple. The fist day I had booth Grandkids sewing with me one at a time. It is a dream to sew on we all have to retrain ourselves to let the machine go just gide the fabric. I love all the new up grades they are well thought out. I have to retrain my hands from my old singer. I owneded that portable sewing machines for 40 years. The repair shop and I couldn't keep it going, the move across country in the rig did it in. I have been sewing for 52 years. I am having a blast sewing lace curtins, tough jaens all with the correct needles they are the key to no jamming up my fabrics. Has made my machine last a long time. I know this Singer Simple will last just as long. ( Her name is" simple singer") my granddaughter is in chiour 6 the grade. We love this family member I can't wait to get going today on a cool out door project. This is a supper sewing machine for a beginner that is timid about the needle, the off button takes the fear away.

I bought this Singer 3232 to mend my work shirts, was doing it by hand. I looked around area stores, sewing machines all sold out, not much selection in used ones online. So I bought one through Amazon, arrived fairly quickly, but unfortunately it came with the main drive belt slipped off. I could hear the motor running, but nothing moved. Took awhile to figure out how to remove the covers, but fixing the belt was easy. Now it works fine. It was easy to set up and use, satisfied with performance so far, only trouble I had was with getting the bottom thread to come up initially with hand turning of needle, it just takes practice. I should do a video on how to remove covers, you’ll need to learn how to do it sooner or later. There’s a good YouTube video on how to remove half of the covers, I believe it’s the Singer 8280 model, you’ll need to remove both sides on 3232. Also, try looking at Singer website for cheaper price. I would have bought one through there, but I read on the website that their products may be out of stock, and I felt it would have been a more probable and reliable delivery through Amazon, but I may have been wrong on that, cost was double.

Item was purchased as a gift for my nine year old daughter to learn how to sew while on vacation with my parents. My Mom is a quilter and very "picky" when it comes to sewing machines and thinks nothing about spending a grand or better for a sewing machine, I am not about to drop that kind of coin for a sewing machine. So, I was surprised when she told me I had done good on purchasing this machine, she said that it was a great machine. She said the problem with most sewing machines is the thread people use is not that great and that is why people have issues from the beginning with there machines. She adjusted the tension setting as well and then turned my daughter loose with it. Needless to say my daughter made three quilts and six dresses with it and absolutely loves this machine. My Mom was so impressed with it that she is getting one for in there fifth wheel when they travel. Cant beat the price for the functions and for quality of machine.

It's not quite as simple as we'd hoped (like my mother's old portable from the 40's) but it works well and we are learning. I've been a Singer person all my life, but others in my household have not. The learning curve for them is greater than for me. Nevertheless it does what we need it to do and it weighs a lot less than the old models. We ar looking for a cover that will let the handle be free but not let dust down into all the important aspects that exist at the TOP of it... not thought out too well.

It is a basic machine for everyday sewing which is exactly what I wanted. I took it out of the box, set it up, learned how to use a front loading bobbin (a breeze) and started sewing face masks to be delivered that day!. no problems so far. I am an experienced seamstress but hadn't done any sewing in a number of years because my family decided to surprise me with a new computerized machine for Christmas one year. Thanks but no thanks...nothing but trouble...couldn't get auto threader to work, timing never worked, went through bunch of needles, frustrating when all I wanted to do was make face masks for family and friends. Love this machine. My confidence is restored. Recommend to beginner and experienced for everyday sewing. And Great Price!

Great sewing machine. Easy to use and figure out. Great quality. Great options to make your DIY look clean cut and professional. It’s a basic sewing machine that gets the job done. I think the various stitches could use some updates since they constantly jam my machine when using but so so a damn good sewing machine

The wife asked for it and I got it for her. She loves it and already usinging it for all the things shes wanted to alter. I am so happy that she's happy about it. ^__^

This lovely machine does everything for the beginner sewer. The automatic needle threader is awkward to get used to, so I watched a you tube video, several times, until I got the feel of it. now I can auto thread every time, so be patient. I absolutely love this machine, i use it almost every day, and I am learning all the time. I have to say, making buttonholes is just a dream, and I've never mastered that until now. Worth every penny.

Me encantó la facilidad para utilizarla y el terminado todas las puntadas, en general me encantó casi todo, solo tuvo un defecto no tiene una puntada es la que más me llamaba la atención.

Meine Nähmaschine ist kaputt gegangen, ebenfalls eine Singer 3232. Diese habe ich mir neu bestellt und recht schnell wurde sie von den USA zu mir importiert (warum ein Import ???). Der mitgelieferte Stecker mit Pedal passt nicht in die deutsche Steckdose (nutze meinen alten Stecker mit Pedal). Die Bedienungsanleitung ist auf englisch (nutze hier meine deutsche Anleitung). Hätte ich die selbe Nähmaschine nicht schon zu Hause, dann wäre sie sofort zurück gegangen! Das ist eine Zumutung !!! Für den Preis wirklich nicht zu empfehlen !!! Nachtrag, 12.August 2019: Rücksendung beantragt, da die viel zu schnell näht, eine wirkliche Zumutung

I like the machine very much easy to lift. The automatic needle threader video was annoying. Just as the final thread, she put her hand in the way! 😏 So i found another video, down loaded & charged £25 my fault as hadn't realised it was a contract, badly advertised. The decorative stitches are lovely. Especially the herringbone!
