Beautiful colored glass. The firepit we bought from Amazon came with lava rocks but we wanted glass. Based on other reviews on 30 & 36" firepits I thought 10 lbs of glass would be plenty for our 28" firepit but we wound up using some of the lava rocks underneath the glass to fill the pit. We did not cover the ring & it is beautiful 😍! The back of the glass is a mirror, very pretty effect.

Works great in the propane fire pit.

Didn't want to spend a lot of money updating my fireplace, so opted to make a few simple changes instead. One of them was removing the sand (probably from 30+ years ago) and switching to the glass pieces. So glad I did! Drastically improved the overall look. Glass really shines when the fire is on. The size of the pieces were pretty decent and hardly any tiny pieces. If you want a thicker layer, I would suggest 2 bags, but 1 does fill it in. Pictures show before and after.

Purchase a mix of the clear and the black to upgrade our new fire pit table that came with the lava rock for the insert. I love the look of it and the way the fire reflects off of it is absolutely amazing throughout those lava rocks and throw this in.

Beautiful glass

Got the greenish color. The pieces appear to be mirror backed on one side which helps add to the reflectivity, etc. I am not so sure that this was 'tempered' in the way I think of with automotive or residential window glass, as there are some pretty large chunks, and even some very sharp shards in the mix. Either way should be considerably less dusty over time than the lava rock my firepit came with. I would NOT use this material in any kind of landscaping due to the sharps in the mix.

It looks spectacular honestly the cobalt blue is great and looks good with the flame on or off. I was disappointed that there wasn't more guidance on how much to order the one bag was plenty almost too much I can still get the cover over the fire burning area but just barely I'm going to have to return the second bag. The actual area where the glass is is approximately 7x22 inches. I could put another bag on top probably if I never wanted to put the cover on again. Be careful when you empty out the last bit of the bag there are lots of tiny little shards of glass. I would recommend definitely using gloves and maybe leave the last little bit in the bag so the tiny shards don't come out I ended up having to vacuum them up.

The glass is jet black with mirrored backing. It looks fantastic in my indoor gas fireplace.

Very pleased with this product. We used the recommended amount of tempered glass for our fire pit which in this case is 30 lbs. Don't skimp on the amount as your fire pit will look unfinished. As you can see in the picture, the glass fills out the fire pit and makes for an attractive appearance. I like that there are many different colours to choose from to finish off your project. As other reviewers advised they are a little expensive but the results allow you to see a nice project.

Looks lovely. Some of the pieces are so small. I hope no one gets a shard in the hands or feet. I vacuumed my deck after I set them up just to be safe.

Beautiful and the colour was exactly like the pictures. I got pacific blue and I love it. I built this fire pit myself a d love how the glass looks with it.
