Honest review. I have always been an Andis customer for everything. Until I bought another pair of the new Masters and they died on me. I had so many problems with them I decided I could not support the brand anymore. I needed new liners so I started researching these. When I received them I was a bit skeptical because of their size. They are smaller than I thought they would be. They are also very lightweight. I instantly thought, I've done it again, these are not going to be good. I could not have been more wrong. These are excellent detailers. They come with a zero gap tool which I used immediately. To say that these detailers are sharp is an understatement. They make very sharp lines with very little effort. As I said, these clippers are sharp so you DO NOT HAVE TO BE HEAVY HANDED WITH THEM. DO NOT PRESS DOWN HARD! Mustache and beard trimming is excellent even for me. I am black and I have some hairs on my face that used to be a challenge. Not anymore! I am very impressed with this unit. They are POWERFUL AND QUIET. They are also very beautiful to look at. They just have a touch of elegance to them. They are very comfortable in your hand as well. I absolutely love them. I have one more set of Andis clippers that work, but they will be replaced soon. I want to completely disassociate myself with the brand. I will be looking at Wahl for my next clippers. These are DOPE 🔥

Amazing great project quality…

I opened the Amazon box and the Wahl trimmer box was well padded against shipping movement. So I was really surprised when I opened the Wahl box and see the trimmer laying backwards in the molded black plastic container which didn’t prevent its movement as intended and made it bounce around loose! Obviously someone had taken it out and did whatever with it and put it back incorrectly! Then I tried to turn it on and it wouldn’t. Lithium Ion batteries have a partial to full charge so someone was using it until it quit, or the battery was defective or the switch is broken! So I am returning it and they are sending a replacement. One of the reviews said how they received a trimmer that had hair in the blades and others receiving obviously used trimmers. So I took a chance and bingo, bad news! One buyer said he should have bought it directly from Wahl. I thought I would take a risk (same price and free shipping also), at least if it is defective, used or whatever, the shipping back and forth would be faster! So here we go! Maybe two times will be a winner?! This review is for the replacement one. I opened the box which was the same size as the first one. When I opened it there was no packaging paper like the first one had which made the Wahl box slide around during shipment. The trimmer did turn on this time and works great. Actually the specially coated blades are sharper than my first uncoated blades on this type of trimmer I got almost 5 years ago. So the second try worked out and now I have to return the defective one. Because of the improvement with the second one, I changed my rating.

These trimmers are perfect for anyone especially men with tight coily hair. I used the trimmer to edge my beard but can definitely be used to edge hairlines. They cut sharp and precise right out of the box. It comes with the tool to adjust it, but I did not have to do it. The motor is quiet yet powerful enough to cut tight coily facial hair that many african americans have and the blade cuts just close enough to not irritate the skin and cause razor bumps, ingrown hairs, or Pseudofolliculitis barbae. This is a professional trimmer that many barbers used, so the quality is much better than trimmers that you get from a drug store where the motor is not strong enough and the blade is not sharp enough to cut most African Americans hair.

Listen! I've been cutting hair for 27+ years. I have used several trimmers. My usual go-to is the corded Andis T-Outliners, which i still own. I've even modified them to be as sharp as possible without irritating the skin. Due to my frequent travel, I get tired of uniquely rolling clipper cords in my cosmetic bag to prevent shortages. Therefore, I decided, it's time to convert to all cordless clippers and trimmers. Before purchasing these, I actually bought the BaByliss FX Pro Trimmer with the GTX deep tooth blade thinking it would do wonders on my extremely coarse hair...which also grows in whatever direction it pleases. After a few adjustments, I thought they were ok, but they weren't giving me the sharp lines like I had seen on countless YouTube vids. So, I decided to giving the old school Wahl brand timmers a try. Let me tell you, STRAIGHT OUT THE BOX with NO MODS, these trimmers are some HITTERS! They get the job done so fast, I'm sometimes finding myself not wanting to put them down. When I cut my son's hair, I asked him how does it feel and he replied, "I like these. They glide across my skin. Kind of tickles. It feels good." For an 8 y/o to enjoy a sharp trimmer "gliding across" his skin is almost a miracle. As a Black man with super curly, multidirectional facial and scalp hairs, I endorse this trimmer for those of you who have super coarse hair like me. The most pleasant surprise was that these came with a zero gapping tool (valued at about $21), 3 combs, and a blade guard which is super beneficial when protecting your blade while traveling. Needless to say, I returned the $175 BaByliss trimmers. My ONLY con is the boring color, but that's just me. Would've loved a navy or all silver option, I can be picky like that. I may even disassemble and paint myself, LOL. Either way, it was well worth the price and I'm happy with the purchase.
