I have the masterclass pan and these are invaluable (although why they don’t make a pan that has heat resistant handles is a mystery to me). They do still get hot so you have to be careful, but it’s loads better than not having them, especially the one for the lid. I leave the one for the lid on permanently as it was very tricky to get on! I do think they are expensive for what they are.

Pros • Excellent heat protection – no more accidental fingertip grilling • Soft silicone with a comfortable, grippy feel • Fit securely onto handles without slipping off mid-carry • Easy to clean (a quick rinse and they’re good as new) Cons: • Really should be included with the pan in the first place • Only useful if your cookware has compatible handles • Can get warm if left on during long cooking times (still far better than bare metal!) I’ll be honest, these feel less like an optional extra and more like something that should have come in the box with the pan. If you’ve got one of those lovely casserole or tagine-style pans with metal handles that double as branding irons, you’ll know exactly why these are needed. They slip on easily, fit nicely, and instantly turn a “quick grab” into a “yes, I still have fingerprints” moment. The silicone has just enough give to feel comfortable but still grips well, so there’s no wobbling about when lifting a hot dish. I’ve mainly used them with a tagine-style pan, and they’ve been spot on. No slipping, no faffing, just pick up and go without the dramatic kitchen dance of “hot-hot-hot!” while searching for a tea towel. Value At £8.99 for a set of three, they’re in line with similar silicone handle covers out there. Not the cheapest, but fair for the quality and fit. Verdict A small purchase that makes a big difference. If you’ve got cookware with metal handles, these are practically essential unless you enjoy living dangerously. Comfortable, effective, and quietly doing the job they should’ve been hired for in the first place.

Good product

I bought these on an offer otherwise I would return. They are fine on top of the hob but cooking on 130 degrees for 2hours in the oven I still need oven gloves as handles were still too hot. They fit well and feel secure but not much point if they don’t keep the handles cool.

I was pleased with the Masterclass casserole I'd bought, but having to use oven gloves when I used it on the hob was very inconvenient. These pan handle sleeves have remedied that and made it possible to manage the pot far more easily. Heat does come through them, but so far I've only experienced this as warmth, not burning. Very pleased with them.

Fits on my masterclass Dutch oven and skillet perfectly that did not come with heat safe handles (why would they make such a thing without safe handles when it’s not a cast iron product? But that’s beside the point). Bought two for the two pans I had that kept burning me, fits snug, as if it was meant to be included in the original product and they decided “nah, let’s make them pay for it separately”
