Bought this item to hold broken spectacles while I soldered them back together.Perfect. Suckers onto kitchen table, holds well.Obviously not for use in blacksmiths workshop. but around house very useful.Would recommend, and for price I would buy again.

Stick well if the surface has been clean and the bad. Not for major big jobs but does work well with holding small objects to work on.

As per the headline - I already have one of these, with the "optional" plastic jaws, and needed another one to hold some items at both ends.Biggest issue with these is that, unless you bolt them down (which I don't want to do for space reasons), they slide around too easily. My solution is to superglue 4x small flat niobium magnets to the corners of the base and then use the things on an antistatic mat glued to a steel plate - that way I can move and position them as required, and also remove them completely when required.The downside to this approach is that the magnets add 50% to the cost - and I get superglue on my fingers if I'm not careful!

I didn't like the fact that I have paid for something that looks like a toy, not worth the money I have paid.
