Beginner or professional, outstanding quality paper for watercolours and sketching. Yes, you can get cheaper, but not of the same quality and tooth. Recommended

Best in the business
Been using this to paint tattoo flash for about 5 years now. Literally the best paper out there. Kidded myself that I didn’t need to pay the extra and it wasn’t worth it for a few years prior, I was very wrong. You won’t be disappointed

Smell
I have never had a paper smell bad, especially Arches as it's one of the best to use. It looks original, but once started painting this horrible smell of paper appeared, the smell is so strong I had to leave the painting and discard it. Paper block when dry has barely noticeable smell but once it's wet it is horrendous, just not usable
