Love this new tool. Broke it the first time I used it. Accidentally pushed the lock button while I was trying it out. The lock button is not in a good spot!! I think it needs a removable clip on it to prevent it from being depressed unless you are changing the accessory. Would have given a 4 star but I contacted the company and they sent me a new one!! So I gave them FIVE stars. Great customer service.

Bought this Merlin mini grinder for my wood working partner who loves it. It really adds to her collection of wood working tools that gives variety to her art. The sanding grinding discs and chain saw discs are easy to change, and it is light weight, no hand fatigue. Be sure to wear your face mask when using this tool as it really chews up wood and spits it out.

Was excited to get this unit. First impression, looked and felt like a solid little unit. The second I applied it to wood (cherry, so not too hard) it stalled. And I mean, it took very little pressure to stall it. It didn't matter what wheel I put on it. Even the chain saw wheel stalled. There is a very tinny sounding rattle in the head. So I don't know if I got a defective unit or if it's just really more of a kids toy. I would hope not for the money. Also, they seem to have made an "improvement". Instead of a built in locking mechanism, they included a right angle plastic bracket to lock the arbor when changing wheels. How long do you think it will take before most people will lose this? Also, a cheap canvas bag instead of a fitted plastic case. As least with a case you could organize your bracket and your cutting wheels instead of shoving them all in zip lock bag.

I love this mini angle grinder. It is awesome for carving and sanding. The birds are quite expensive but they are durable and last a long time.

Works well but heats up pretty quickly.

Bought for husband for Christmas he loves it easy to use and works a lot faster for his wood carving hobby

Worked great for about three weeks. The motor burned out yesterday. I am a hobbyist and would consider my use of this tool as very light duty. I carved four spoons and two bowls before the tool failed. For the price I would expect a lot more. I also purchased the gweniveire sanding system from another vendor. The first time I turned it on, one of the chucks flew off. The power button also does not work intermittently.

There is no power can’t use it. Had a Merlin it did a good job .

I bought this for finish sanding the bottom of my wood turned bowls, easy for one handed sanding. would work better as a sander if guard could come off.
