Our steel cable has two problems. The first is that there are a few kinks that happen when the steel rope drops down between wraps. This causes broken wires which cut you if you don't have gloves and just plain annoying if you do have gloves. A weak spot for sure. The other problem is that the steel cable wants to expand and "birdnest" on you if you don't have tension on the cable and you are on the first or second wrap. The synthetic cable makes these problems go away. Very nice soft cable that is very easy to work with. Other pieces that came with the synthetic rope are also nice and work well. My first synthetic winch rope.

Very nice rope kit. I installed this 3/16" x 50' synthetic rope on a Can Am 3500 LB winch and it fit perfect. At first glance the rope seems to be good quality. The hook and bump stop were also very good quality and I'm happy with my decision to purchase this kit, because I already had a billet fairlead to switch out for the factory rollers. I replaced the original 7/32" steel cable which was kinked from the factory and it had wire strands poking out all up and down the cable making it painful to use!

Arrived quickly, as described and works well on my winch. If used within its limits. It should last a good while.

So far so good. used once and did not break.

Had a new aircraft grade wire rope on badland 1500lb winch (original equipment). The wire rope snapped when pulling a metal u-channel from the ground. I had my doubts about the synthetic rope being stronger than the metal. Doubt no more. Fed it into the winch, and pulled out one u-channel which was 4 feet into the ground; unfortunately, the other u-channel broke in half from the pulling force - I was pulling both horizontally, and went too fast on the second one. This rope held up very well. Also, I don’t have to worry about metal wire snapping or getting cut from the sharp fraying strands.

This winch rope is incredible. I punish this thing and it performs great.

I have put this synthetic cable to the test as I was very skeptical, and over the past 3 months it proves me wrong over and over again. Ive pulled pull trees, other vehicles and even myself uphill with the plow down plowing and it still held up. I am not easy on things so this speaks volume. Especially good in the snow.
