Summary: I bought these suspenders to complete an Old West costume, and am very satisfied. They look impeccable, fit well, and function as intended. Review: I am a stickler for accuracy on most of my reenactment gear, and wanted suspenders that were as correct to the time period as possible, and that means suspenders that fasten to bachelor buttons rather than snaps. However, I didn't want to sacrifice functionality or comfort, because I wear my gear all day. For that reason, I knew that I wanted elastic straps. Luckily, these suspenders have both the button fasteners and elastic straps! At 1.5" wide, they're not too thin to be comfortable, and remain classy enough to dress up an outfit. The one downside of these suspenders, in my opinion, is that the "leather like" material the attachment points are made from feels somewhat cheap and plasticky. It feels durable, but doesn't really look exactly like real leather. Pros - Comfortable - Modern elastic assures proper fit - Bachelor button fasteners are period-correct - Thin enough to dress up if you'd like to wear with fancier clothing Cons - "leather" fasteners feel cheaper and somewhat plasticky

Just perfect for hubby

Not a suspender person. Wore them the other night with my tuxedo (another item I don’t normally wear) to a black tie event. The suspenders were not only sharp looking but more comfortable than a belt, kept my pants up, shirt tucked in place the entire evening.

I bought these braces to complement a pair of European military surplus wool pants. They buttoned right up to the pants and look great. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Suspenders are not created equal and these far out pace the competition in relation to fit, ease of use, and overall look. Black tie event? Get these suspenders. New Year's eve? It's a no-brainer. They are well made and got some great compliments on them. Just remember that they aren't real suspenders if they have clips and not ways to button on your pants. SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BUTTONS on the interior of your pants otherwise these WILL NOT WORK. Just hit up your local Italian tailor to help get buttons sewn on, but get in early those tailors book up fast. Honestly, they are just so classy and make you stand out from the crowd once the wedding is over and you lose the jacket. You will be the star of the night. Great grooman's gift too.

What more could I ask for from a pair of suspenders-they hold up my trousers. I don't know if some would call them stylish, but, they do what they're intended to do. The quality is good. The price was right.
