The factory installed handle was plastic, snapped off in my hand. The recliner is only about three years old so that was definitely a “WTF?” moment. Ordered this part with Prime shipping, got it next day, took less than 10 minutes to replace, and works fine. You’ll need two sets of hands to reinstall the handle to the chair as the handle needs to be in open position to install the two screws that fasten it to the chair. As advertised, it is metal, and seems much more sturdy than the original part. No instructions, but it’s easy enough to figure out, just do not forget to attach the U shaped spring clip that holds the cable sheath in place. I anticipate this part lasting for the rest of the life of the chair itself.

This replacement pull handle instantly made me a hero in my household after I fixed my wife’s favorite recliner. The part is solid, well-made, and honestly feels better than the original handle that failed. Installation was quick and painless, took almost no time at all. Best of all, the recliner works perfectly again, and my wife is happy, which automatically makes this a great purchase in my book.

The are very sturdy and fit well in the existing opening, my cable barrel was a little smaller so that part is somewhat loose but it could have been the other way around so it wouldn't have worked.

Perfect fit, easy installation - with a Phillips head screwdriver and a pair of pliers, it took 10 minutes total for both sides. There's nothing more frustrating than having a $1500 recliner sofa's plastic release handles break after only a couple years of gentle use. Thankfully these durable metal replacements are available at a very reasonable cost - they will probably outlast the rest of the sofa !

This is the 2nd one that I have got for two separate repairs, and the quality is there! Metal not plastic, smooth and no sharp spots My plastic handles that came with the couch broke where the metal piece goes into the slot, and these are pure metal so I don’t think they are going to be breaking. I am using them on a frequently used couch, and you can really feel the quality when you grab these metal ones. I’m thinking of replacing the other two handles for the other couch before I need to

These all metal replacement levers are the best I bought. I will never have to buy another one again. Everything is heavy duty, including the spring action. Don’t waste your money on time on the plastic ones. I’ve purchased the slightly cheaper plastic replacement Lever, and as you can see from the pictures and video they’re garbage.
