I had ordered a highly rated expandable backpack, but there were no pockets storage! Great and lightweight for carrying only your 17" computer and charger for the day, and some rolled up clothes (when you expand it). But no pockets or other cool features -returned it. I needed more pockets! This is an amazing backpack. The feel of the material yells out "I'm water resistant" and good looking too. Top zipper pocket is ideal for often used items like sunglasses or keys. Right side has elastic opening for a water bottle (or your sunglasses)! Many laptop backpacks do not offer this feature anymore. Front pocket will fit a small iPad (small spiral note book here). Front main TOP zipper has lots of room for shoes (as advertised), and lots of pocket storage and a removable keychain. This was something that I wanted. Love hanging small items here that is easy to reach. The only issue here is that the zipper opening is small and you will need to dig around to get to stuff in the bottom. Unzip the main area for more pockets, zipper pocket, and ... I guess overnight travel clothes. (sunglasses show some of the storage areas). Like most new backpacks the computer is the last zipper storage area. Unzip for a Big and Generous area! My 17" MacBook Pro fit in the back pocket easily. There is also a small front pocket area for a small iPad or accessories. The back of the backpack has a hidden zipper pocket for valuable items (show here with a spiral note book - which does not fit in, only for demonstration purposes). How many backpacks offer a shoulder / chest cross strap, with a whistle? I love this feature as it gives you a more secure feeling while walking, carrying other items, running, or on public transportation. Robbers will not be able to pull the backpack off your shoulder as your are strapped in! The back of the backpack also has a "cross strap" that will fit over your standard carryon luggage for rolling around the airport. There is as big sturdy padded handle, much better than cheap lightweight backpacks. This becomes important when you load this baby up and carry it from the handle. And lastly there is a small zipper pocket on the Left Shoulder strap. Ideal for quick cash, credit card, ID, or to store your earbuds. Highly recommend this backpack if you are looking to replace an old school nylon outdoor backpack, looking for storage pockets , front shoulder cross strap, keychain holder, that will hold a 17" MacBook Pro, and a hidden water bottle pocket (or for your sunglasses)

I prefer to write reviews after I've used a product for a bit. If i write one immediately, I tell myself, I'll update it later. Who am I kidding? I'm not doing that lol so here we go. I bought this bag July 2023 before a trip. Since then, I've used it DAILY for work, it goes with me when I travel (car, plane, whatever) and this thing has stood up to EVERYTHING i've thrown at it. I ride a motorcycle and this was one of the few bags I saw with the full zipper that goes all the way to the bottom, allowing it to open fully. As well as another compartment that goes 3/4 and many, many other smaller compartments. There have been zero tears, rips, nothing. It's a little scuffed here and there because of the leather finish, but very minor. You can not ask for a better backpack. I've stuffed this thing with everything you can imagine and it's never let me down. Love the built in laptop sleeve, the padded straps, the fully opening main compartment, and especially all the little zippered compartments, some are hidden, they're everywhere! If you're looking for a stylish backpack that can handle anything you throw at it, stop looking and buy this!

This is the best laptop backpack ever made. I just had a motorcycle accident (literally a few minutes ago) while wearing this bag. It wasn't my fault, but bottom line is I flew over the handlebars, flipped and landed on my back and rolled. First of all, it absolutely saved my back, without it it would've been destroyed. Second, my laptop, charger and headphones are all COMPLETELY INTACT! And third, it only got a couple of very minor scratches after I cleaned off the debris from the asphalt, astounding... Can't recommend this bag enough. Oh and it also looks great and has many pockets and zippers. Plus it's easy to travel with because your can fix it on your carry on bag's static handle. Must buy.

I bought this bag over a year ago and I still love it. I picked it up tonight and thought I needed to go write a review. If you are looking for a quality bag that will hold up this is it. I love the pocket at the top of the bag. I throw my airpods in there and other small items so I can find them quickly. It holds my 16inch MacBook Pro perfectly. I want to buy a second one to have for when this one dies one day. But honestly that doesn't seem like it will be any time soon. My only complaint is the USB on the outside, I wish it was USB C. But at the end of the day I probably wouldn't use that much anyways. So it's all good.

I purchased this 3-pocket backpack to compare against a similar, but smaller, 2-pocket pack (brand starts with a B and ends in E) also purchased from Amazon. My intended use is an upcoming trip to Europe with wife and 2 toddlers so I was looking for convenient access and ample storage, yet easy to carry and stow underneath the seat in front of me. Like: 1. Lots of zippered storage that would seem to be very useful navigating an airport through security and ultimately onto the plane. Here are the following locations accessible on the outside of the pack: in left shoulder strap (fits credit card, ID, or business cards), bottom of padded area that rests against your lower back, on top of the flap into the outer compartment (seen in one of the pics), left side of the logo on the outer shell. 2. Outer pocket for slim water bottle or umbrella (where my green shaker bottle is located) 3. Dedicated padded area for laptop and small tablet. Unfortunately, my 11" iPad Pro w/magic keyboard does not fit in the smaller pocket. My 13" MacBook Air does fit in the larger laptop slot with lots of room to spare so I imagine it would easily fit an average sized 15" laptop. This makes electronics easily accessible for when going through security. 4. Lots of interior pockets for organization - passports, small books, etc. 5. Relatively lightweight at 2.4 lbs. My Tumi Alpha Brief Pack is 1.8 lbs and the other pack from Amazon is 2.4 lbs. 6. External USB-A connector to interior USB-A plug that can be connected to a power bank that has a dedicated zippered location inside. The battery pack seen in the photo does fit into the zippered compartment. 7. Smooth zippers that completely enclose the pull making it less likely to come apart compared to ones that leave a small gap. Don't like: 1. Unsmooth appearance on outer shell. I left it stuffed with pillows for a couple days to smooth and flatten these out (which they did) but unfortunately they came back as soon as I removed the pillows. The other backpack from Amazon's wrinkles came out when I did this so this appears to be a quality control issue. 2. USB-A instead of USB-C, though it is rectifiable with an adapter. Overall, there is a lot to like about this backpack but those unremovable wrinkles are a dealbreaker for me as they are in the most visible location. I will purchase another and hope this one was just a lemon that snuck past QC.

I’m so impressed at the quality of this bag. I got the three pocket version and was actually seriously surprised by how much more useful it was. Very sturdy, great feeling materials, EXCELLENT design and layout, and looks really great! All of the zippers are very sturdy and of good quality and the fabric around the zips feels extra tough so I don’t have to worry about a pocket breaking and ruining the whole bag. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and padded; the back of the bag has quarter inch padding for your shoulder blades and lower back as well. The smaller adjustable straps that connect the bag to the shoulder straps fee extra tough and are secured very nicely to the bag itself. I’m definitely not going to have to worry about zippers or straps breaking on me. The layout of the bag is really smart. The big pocket opening so deep and folding forward means you can really pack the bag up with a lot of stuff and access what you have on the bottom without having to unload everything else! This has made such a huge difference for me. I use this bag for work where I’m a security officer and it lets me stash all of my equipment, jackets, hat etc in a smart ergonomic way. The other smaller pouches inside the bag feel solid and secure and are stitched nicely to the bag. I haven’t been rained on too hard yet while using the bag but I can tell just by the material texture and fabrics that it’s going to be a solid performer when it comes to water resistance! I love the sleek tidy and professional look of the bag. Very thrilled with it. More than worth the money.

I’ve had this for almost 2 years now and its still in good condition

I recently returned from a 12-day trip to Belize that was the maiden voyage for this bag. I gotta say that I love this backpack - it is awesome! I have struggled to find a bag that will accommodate my large laptop but this one did just perfectly. Here is a list of pros with only two cons and some accompanying photos. Pros: *It is vertically oriented which means it is a narrower profile - it never touched another seated passenger as I made my way down the narrow aisle *It is comfortable - the shoulder and top carry strap are VERY well padded *Plenty of pockets to keep things organized *I used the external power supply port twice - very handy *It can carry a great deal of stuff (see pic) - I probably had 20-24 lbs of weight in it! *It shed the overspray from the water taxi just fine Cons: *I wish a couple of the interior pockets had zippers *The external water bottle pocket really isn't big enough to hold a water bottle (which is okay with me because I prefer the narrower profile)
