I'm not going to lie, I bought this kit thinking it would be a fun, educational activity for my kid. I was right, but what I didn't anticipate was the level of scientific weirdness that would be unleashed. My kid is now obsessed with finding things to look at—dirt, a fly's wing, the goo from under the couch—you name it. The best part is the stain powders. One can buy all of these items individually, of course, but having this as a set is convenient. The bottles of stain are smaller than the ones bought individually or in dedicated stain kits, but should still last a long while.

I bought this for my boyfriend to go with his microscope at Christmas. I had ordered several other sets but had to return them because they were cheaply made or targeted for kids. This one had a decent quality of supplies for an adult who wants to do actual experiments as a hobby but it was still made on the cheaper side. After returning 5 kits I settled on this one because it was getting too close to Christmas. He enjoys it and has examined several things so it definitely does the job. Hope this helps!

Just what I needed for my young niece.

This is a great starter kit - if you receive the whole kit. The first box I received was missing cover slips and the prepared slides. The replacement box was only missing half of the petri dish, but it is odd that two separate orders had elements missing.

I got my package today and the dyes are in powder form as lots of other reviews state. But mine did have a phone number labeled on the bottles so I called it and spoke to someone in customer service pretty quickly and they told me the instructions in their system say to fill the vials 3/4 full with distilled water. I agree not super specific but she also said they have a manual for all their products on their website. I haven’t had a chance to look for this yet but will update if I do.

Son de calidad buena, tal vez la pipeta sería mejor una de vidrio. Igual la caja de Petrick, Me gusta el esmerilado que traen por un lado los portaobjetos, sirve que no se te resbalan cuando los lavas.
