I bought this rope to attach to our Bowflex XLT tower and it works like a charm. The switch out from this rope to the pull-down bar is tedious, but takes no more than two minutes. The rope is well-made and solid. Great buy.

If your looking for a different motion other than the standard tricep bar, this is a great addition to your gym. It's most useful for triceps, but can also be reversed for biceps, or elevated for an upper back/shoulder workout.

I bought this with my Body Solid GDCC200 Functional Cross Trainer. I use it primarily for two exercises - overhead triceps extensions and standing triceps pushdowns. The quality of the rope, attachment, and plastic end supports is excellent. I've used this 1-2x week for almost two months and have no concerns about the rope fraying or end caps becoming detached. The tricep rope with the aforementioned exercises does an excellent job isolating the triceps muscles, especially with the overhead triceps extension exercise. Standing triceps pushdowns are one of my favorite exercises, but the cause for me only rating this product 4-stars. Similar to what I believe another reviewer pointed out, the rope is simply not long enough. At the end of the pushdown, you are supposed to bring your hands farther apart to clear the sides of your hips - these last few inches do an excellent job targeting the triceps brachii medius (the smallest head of the triceps on the inner upper arm just above the elbow). Unfortunately, the rope is not wide enough to allow sufficient separation necessary to clear the sides of the hips. I am 6'3" and weigh about 205lbs - I do not have wide/fat hips, so I think that most people - unless they have very slender hips - would experience this same limitation. Otherwise, the rope is excellent - if you have narrow hips or do not care as much about isolating the brachii medius head of the triceps with the pushdown exercise, I would highly recommend this rope. My recommendation to Body Solid would be to extend the length of the rope - passing on the minimal increase in cost to the customer would be worth it to most customers, IMO.

This unit is extremely well designed and well built. The rubber pieces are very tough and the rope as well. Everything I've seen from Body Solid has been the same. To me it is worth it to pay a bit more for this level of quality.

Quality item. Nothing broken or loose yet. Only drawback I have with it is that it seems a little too short. Doesn't seem to let my triceps stretch out at the bottom like the one I got used to at the gym. So unfortunately I don't use it as often as I would like to. Count on my v-bar more often than not instead of this.

After less than six months of regular use, the screw-in bolt securing one of the blocks on the end of the rope, pulled out. I screwed the bolt back in but it proceeded to pull straight out again. I contacted customer service at Fitness Factory (Body Solid's online store). Customer service told me there is no warranty covering the triceps rope but to email photos to them. I emailed photos but have not heard back from Fitness Factory/Body Sold. In comparison, I have a Grizzly triceps rope I purchased over 10 years ago that is still going strong after regular use. I bought the Body Solid triceps rope because I was curious to try a rope with a different block design. It was a mistake. I wasted $35. I would not recommend this product.

I love this tricep rope. It is very sturdy and comfortable to use. Well worth the price.
