These cam locks are excellent for my use case - pumping out the low portion of the yard when it floods due to Florida's temperamental weather and rain.

Handy Quick Connectors
The make and female parts work fine once tight connections with 3/4" NPT pipe have been made. That is a little problematic as the internal pipe threading is a bit oversized such that when using standard garden hose 3/4 hose to 3/4 pipe it will be necessary to wrap several layers of teflon tape on the parts to effect a seal.
