I purchased this primarily to use as a desk stand for my GXL3000 condenser microphone, and it works excellently for that purpose. I was initially concerned about sturdiness; I saw some reviews claiming the base is not weighted, and the GXL3000 is a pretty heavy microphone, especially with the shockmount attached. However, the product must have been updated since those reviews were written, as when I unboxed the stand, I was pleased to find the base has a lot of weight to it. It is substantially heavier than I thought it would be - this thing is rock-solid. I can adjust whatever I’m mounting without any fear of the base rattling around or falling off balance. Furthermore, the pole piece/height adjuster is very secure and locks in tightly. The other mounts work great as well. This can support a heavy condenser mic, so it certainly has no trouble with the clip and phone adaptors. It worked fine with my iPhone 11 Pro, as well as my SM58. The included gimbal for the phone mount does it’s job nicely, though it’s obviously not the most high-quality thing out there. That said, if you’re using your phone to record videos, you probably aren’t that concerned with having the best gimbal money can buy. Admittedly, the branding on the box is hilarious. It’s full of poor English and silly marketing statements, but don’t let that scare you away - this is a really solid product and very good value for the money. My favorite quote on the box is: “Release your hands Let the music slowly into your better life!” Ordering inexpensive Chinese products like this can be hit or miss, but this stand is one of the good ones. Excellent value for the money; I highly recommend it for any hobbyists looking for an affordable (yet highly effective) desk stand.

I spent nearly a year buying all sorts of phone stands, for a person with intention tremors. Most stands were fragile and broke if they were knocked over too often, and the tremors made that a frequent occurance. This stand has a weighted base, that keeps it upright. And the metal components make it a stronger stand. I have already purchased 2 more - one for the office, one for the living room & one for his bedroom.

Good product and value

Have to mic my bass drum from the front, as it is pushed against a wall. This little stand does the job perfectly, staying out of the way under the snare or floor tom.

Actually got this for a dual purpose, one to mount a microphone for recording a blog and the other (BONUS) to mount my cell phone for taking some product photos. It works very well for both. The adjustable height is sort of limited but after all it is a desk stand. Well made and the phone clamp is very sturdy. I recommend.

Very impressed by the quality of this little mic stand. The base and pole are both made of metal, unlike many others in this price range, and the whole stand has a very "premium" feel to it. I've purchased other, similar stands in the past, all of which felt very cheap, and none of which survived very long before breaking. This stand, on the other hand, feels like it will last a long time. The base is slightly larger than average, which improves its stability, but isn't so big that it feels out of place on my desk. The pole screws into a hole in the base, rather than onto a threaded stud. (Personally, I'd have preferred a threaded stud, due to the fact that it would have allowed me to swap out different poles to add additional height, but at this price range I can't really complain.) The included ball-head joint is better than it seems at first. Although it's made out of plastic, it actually holds its position better than many of the metal ball-head joints I own. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem using this setup with a lightweight mirrorless or DSLR camera. The greater risk, in my opinion, would be the camera accidentally getting knocked over rather than the ball-head joint failing or breaking.

Lightweight and versatile

This is built pretty well for the price but the screw adapter got stuck after trying it with the mic holder first. I am exchanging it hoping the second one will work but I am worried given some other review complaints about the same. Being able to switch easily back and forth would make this very useful because you could use it with the phone holder, with a regular camera, etc.. BUT you need to the screw adapter to come off for that to work! Will update if the replacement item does work or not!

I purchased this stand for my XLR condenser mic (MXL 700), and here's my honest take — it's all good news! The Good: At this price point, I’m genuinely impressed. The stand is properly weighted and handles the MXL 700, which isn’t exactly a lightweight mic, with no signs of tipping or instability. It feels solid and reliable, making it a great addition to my setup. The Bad & The Ugly: Fortunately, there’s nothing negative to report. The stand exceeded my expectations. I'm thrilled to be back in the groove of making music again! 🎶 Quality: 8/10 Value: 10/10 Usability: 10/10

The stand is robust and heavy, price/performance deserves 5 stars
