SpaceLift SL 5228-S Attic Lift

We have very little storage space, most of it being above a 2-car garage. Lots of Christmas stuff, kids stuff, seasonal stuff and now summer/winter wheels/tires for son’s Miata up there. Coupled with the usual somewhat shaky pulldown stairs; an accident waiting to happen. Plus the dread/struggle of carrying stuff up and down. Being a DIYer I tackled most of it myself, with help from my son for placing the unit into framing. Had a couple questions on spacing and initial setup that Keith from SpaceLift answered very quickly and thoroughly even tho it was Thanksgiving week! Between the install videos, manual and direct contact - the best support I can remember receiving 👍 Works great; especially with one person upstairs and one down it makes attic storage use much safer and almost a breeze.

This is a great and easy to use product. Installation is straight forward and installation instructions are thorough and easy to understand and follow. This lift is definitely a back saver and makes moving our storage bins and boxes a breeze while having peace of mind in preventing lifting injury.

It’s great! Install was pretty straightforward. The carpentry work was the most difficult and since I didn’t have to cut any rafters it wasn’t all that bad. Instructions are good and watching the installation videos was very helpful. The lift is solid and works great. The smaller size handles all but the largest totes. All the Christmas decorations come down next week so it get a real workout. Very happy so far.

My favorite addition to my attic. I only wish they had a remote control option like the other company.

Best money I have spent in a long while. Installed and using for a year and a half. Works GREAT. Saves backs and legs from carrying heavy and hard-to-handle items up the attic stairs. As far as I am concerned, it paid for itself the first time we used it.

This product is a life saver for storing goods in a garage attic, no more climbing stairs with heavy packages. We are both 79+ and just load on the items and next thing you know it's up in the attic. We highly recommend this and make sure you view the videos and read the instructions! A+++++

I installed my new Spacelift yesterday. Although the framing took me several hours (I ordered the 28" wide model so I had to modify the framing a bit to accomidate the wider unit), the instructions were straight forward and the rest of the installation was a breeze. I am extremely pleased about the end result. The lift works perfectly and will make moving thing in and out of our storage attic much, much easier. There was a small defect in the wall mounted remote switch (one wire was broken off of the power indicator LED). I called the company and they are sending me a replacement. In fact, he offered to ship it overnight…. I can't ask for better customer service than that!

We have a tall garage with a mezzanine for storage of infrequently used items (snow tires, X’mas decorations, etc.). This lift has made using that mezzanine storage space so much more convenient! Without the lift each item would have to be hand carried up and down the stairs - particularly difficult with heavy items. Have had no problems with use. Just need to keep in mind that weight limit is 200 lb (in part because lift is suspended on webbing straps, not metal cables) and items can’t be larger than the steel mesh platform (maybe a couple inches smaller than the actual product dimension footprint). Note - It is not enough room to load tires on their sides; they have to be stood vertically and braced.
