I had this radio installed into my mazdaspeed Miata about 6 months ago and it's been awesome so far. I have two other pioneer radios in my other vehicles that have lasted for years trouble free and I hope this one is the same. During the first 6 months I haven't had any negative issues with this radio and for now I'm completely satisfied with this purchase. Android auto connects either by USB or wireless and the radio sounds great.

Amazing radio. A little hard to get set up as the radio has to be somewhat assembled out of the box before being mounted but once it is mounted, (and set up), pure happiness. It definitely is not for everyone because even if you want such a screen having a vehicle with enough room is not always available. Being a single din means that many wires are sticking out of the back of the radio which might also be a hassle to fit inside certain vehicles with limited mounting depth. The screen is amazing and big, and with all of the screen mounting adjustments, left, right, up, and down. It also can be tilted up and down pretty easily but can seem like a lot of pressure to get it to start tilting With all of this customizability you can have it in multiple offsets to fit without covering, (or being covered), by much. In my personal case, (06 silverado 1500), the radio had to be mounted completely to the right and almost as high as possible to be out of the way, (and minimal screen blockage), of/by most things. As another review said you are definitely missing out without getting a bypass, compared to this radio the bypass price isn't even as much as taxes on this radio alone so do get it at the same time, it is not too hard at all to connect and will definitely make the radio more enjoyable, (and easier) to use.

It’s an impressive machine. You have to get the video bypass when you install it or you’re selling yourself short. Wireless CarPlay, satellite radio capable, two cameras capability, The maps for CarPlay allow you to type an address instead of using the voice activation. Alexa feature is legit, along with setting up your personal hotspot to get the internet capabilities, I mean this thing is advanced. Here I am returning a few months later to update you all. There’s a video on YouTube that works for the video bypass. I used it and can now use the browser to watch YouTube videos. I don’t have a jail broken phone so I’m not using the other apps on CarPlay. It’s hit or miss on whether I can update the background to a custom photo. So I did it one time and left it alone. I didn’t connect the speed sensor, so I don’t have my vehicle information which is okay with me. Still, the best aftermarket radio

The installation was an absolute nightmare. For the price, at least general harnesses, should be included. App did not work, firmware install did not work, another headache (was never able to install), could not connect to internet, once connwcted to radio, Pioneer tech support, horrible. Would never buy this...ever!

Great unit. Sounds much better then old radio, with no other changes made. Has a lot of adjustment for the screen.

Sound quality not up to pioneer standards. The volume ranges from 0-40 and anything above 25 the sound gets quiet and you lose all control over volume. I have this thing in a semi truck where there's a bunch of road noise and honestly the factory radio was better. Review update, the issue was in my vehicle. Head unit works great!

The screen looks great but the unit is super slow for such an expensive unit. I'm also a bit disappointed with the resolution of the screen for the price. If I were to go back in time I probably would have bought something other than a Pioneer. This is my 3rd Pioneer touchscreen head unit and they have all had noticeable slow performance of input & response time.
