I wanted to write a review to spare the next buyer from ruining their migraine hat like I did. The hat has a smooth sleek fabric texture, a comfortable gel filling, and a slight snugness around the head when worn (that I found really enjoyable). It blocked out light well. When stored in the freezer and then placed on the head it was extremely cold. Even at room temperature it always feels a little cool to the touch, which I enjoyed. I slept like a baby with it on. Two important things: 1. If you're going to put it in a fridge or freezer make sure it is in a sealed bag. 2. It cannot be washed (other than spot treatment). The manufacturer does disclose this information, so I did not deduct rating points for this. I made the mistake of putting my hat in the freezer without a bag and even though my freezer is fairly clean every odor in the freezer leeched into the hat. It stinks. I tried to wear it anyways and the weird stale freezer smell then got onto my sheets as I napped on them. It was at this time I realized the hat is advertised as only being wipe-clean. You are not supposed to submerge it. I wiped it and the smell remained, so I then decided to risk hand-washing it in a wash basin. The hat seemed to be in good condition afterwards, but the smell remained. At this point I decided that the smell was too unbearable and distracting so I had nothing to lose by putting it in the washing machine (with cold water). The washing machine made the fabric lose it's tightness and made the gel filling become lumpy. And if that's not enough, I can still somehow smell the faintest note of the freezer. I'm not sure that it'll be usable in its current condition, but I will try. I liked the product in theory. It was very comfortable and it did help with headaches. For my own preferences though I would have preferred a product that was more durable and washable, especially something that's being placed against your skin that might collect oils, makeup remnants, and other dirt over time that you'd want to wash off.

Got this to try with my next migraine, but am using it for a fever now. It's amazing - the bit of pressure and cold feels wonderful on my baking head. Fits great, feels great. Hopefully it'll also feel this good during a migraine. It does have some weight, but usually I'm laying down with a fever or migraine so that doesn't matter. I was able to put it on almost directly out of the freezer. I also tried it out initially after it had been sitting on the floor in the shipping bag, and even the floor-cool temperature it was at felt great. Worth it.

This is the most amazing cap for Migraine Relief. It always stays cool. I've never had to place it in the fridge to cool it. It really works and feels comfortable. Fits snug, creating pressure in all the right spots. Blocks out light. Worth the purchase. I bought a second one for my son and he loves it.

I previously bought the all black version of this for my father who frequently gets headaches, and he's loved it. I had tried it a few times myself so bought another one for myself. I went with the "winter" one just because it would arrive much sooner and I've been having migraine days recently. The gel is very cooling, even at "room temp", and it fits snuggly but comfortably and I have a decently large head. The only reason for 4 stars is that the winter design has white across the bottom area that covers your eyes, and so it doesn't seem to block light very well at all (especially compared to the black one). I would suspect it would be a similar story for any of the lighter colored options. Overall, a great help for headaches, but definitely go with the black option if you want the light blocking.

This Cap has been great. It helps me sleep better when I get Cluster periods or Sinus headaches. Cluster headaches are terrible but this makes it a little more manageable. If you leave it in the freezer at least 2 hours I find it retains its cold ice feeling well. It fits great and is made of good material. It covers the back and fe9nt of head and has slots to go around your nose. I havent tested the heat part much yet but will update the review when I do.

These get very cold. I havn't determined exactly how long it takes, but it is less than 24 hours. I wear a 2xl motorcycles helmet so I think I have a rather large melon. This fits, with some level of compression which you may want for headache treatment. I've found for me personally I pull it from the freezer and wait 5-10 minutes for it to warm up some before using because they can be painfully cold at first. They hold temperature a decent amount of time. Maybe 20-45 minutes. Overall I do recommend it for headache sufferers.

This has become something I can’t live without. It does warm up in like 20 minutes but my migraines are gone in 5! I have never found a cure to work so well i love this cap. I love the thickness and comfort and it even stays on when I sleep. I think price is pretty fair for the relief it has given me. If you’re on the fence - do it!

I love this so much. It fits my big head and what I also love about this, I had a breast biopsy done and needed to ice it and this cap came in handy because of how soft and flexible it is. It saved me from my swollen procedure. It feels like good quality also.
