Kärcher S 4 Twin Sweeper

Perfect for my artificial lawn! Having ummed and ahhhhed about this am so glad I finally bought it. Had also purchased the kaercher WD4 to hoover up my garden which worked really well at first. However, getting a hoover out is a chore in itself. You need to unwind the cable, attach the hoses and parts, get the extension cable out etc. And afterwards you need to put it all away! With the S4 you just lower it down and away you go. Granted it doesn’t pick up every speck like the hoover, however, it’s really easy to use and takes less time to cover a large area. It’s manual so no electricity required, just a bit of elbow grease! The S4 works on small leaves - eg those deposited by my neighbour’s incredibly annoying willow tree which drops all sorts of rubbish all year round on to our artificial lawn. It’s a horrible mess and was a constant battle to keep our garden looking tidy. With the S4, I just had to run it over the lawn a few times (had to go over some areas 2-3 times), but it certainly beats raking, sweeping up with dustpan and brush, and definitely beats hoovering! Pushing something across the lawn is much more satisfying than bending over to hoover up every square inch. The S4 also loved the debris on my patio, a further plus - a high traffic area which brings in a lot of dust into our kitchen! It does not like long twigs - anything longer than the length of the bristles itself basically. The front circular sweepers sweep everything in their path into the middle section, which then gets swept into the bin as the S4 is pushed forwards. The only downside is that the opening to the bin is at the foot of the S4, meaning that if you stand the S4 up after use, the rubbish empties out onto the ground. Therefore you need to empty out the bin before storing it away. Secondly the price - mechanical machine but at £105 it’s a little on the expensive end. That said, the less high tech things are the better these days, I find! (Case in point is the messing about with cables etc for an electric hoover). Finally the weight - it is a tad heavy/heavier than I expected, however is manageable. I can imagine that the S4 would not be great with big leaves - the autumnal shedding in vast quantities. But it’s great at pick up little bits - small willow tree leaves or broken up leaves.

Game changer for keeping driveway clean

Lightweight and easy to use. When i first set eyes on it i was a little disappointed that it had no power to it as i thought it was going to be mains operated, if i had read a little more carefully i would have known this before buying. With great reserve i started on the driveway that was full of leaves and small sticks . The karcher swept up all of them like it was nothing ,made the driveway look amazing without much effort at all. I have given the karcher 4 stars as the only thing is when you pull back the leaves spill out¬ keep going forward and it does an amazing job. I found it simple to assemble and have had no problem with the brushes as some have had. It really saves on bending down ,just carry the sweepings box to the bin and empty ,put back in and start again.

So pleased I bought this. The block paving outside my house collects dirt in various places. Before I bought this sweeper, the only thing for it was to use a dustpan and brush which is the most arduous job (sweeping dirt onto the road is not possible because it's 100 yards up a slope and sweeping it into the garden reveals how many weed seeds are contained in the dirt). Bits of trod down dirt needed a bit of a going over with a broom to loosen them, but then the sweeper was able to pick them up ok. Also picks up small twigs and leaves, but if you're looking for a leaf picker upper for autumn, you'll need something like a leaf blower which vacuums. If you're undecided, take a look at videos on YouTube (even the one in German!) and you'll see what it does. Brilliant for picking up dry (even slightly damp) dirt, which is what I wanted it for. I thought I needed a powered tool, but actually this manual push-along machine works great and is easy to operate - even for a not very strong, five feet tall woman like myself.

Good tool,well made but not very good on even small debris,ok for getting grit up but that's about it.

Does exactly what it states on the box, cleans really well and makes life really easy without breaking your back and covers a massive area very quickly, perfect for drives, patios, walkways and garage. Excellent !

Bought this to keep on top of sweeping up leaves and other garden debris as we have a lot of trees. The sweeper is great, it gathers up everything in its path; stones, leaves, small twigs and is great for areas where soil deposits may collect after heavy rain. This device does not work well with lots of twigs at once. After cutting a hedge and gathering the trimmings by hand the sweeper will finish off the job nicely. A great tool that saves a lot of back breaking bending (and the grandchildren enjoy playing with it without realising they are helping to tidy my garden 😉)

Value for money handy sweeper.. Easy to assemble and a doddle to use. Bought two as part of warehouse cleaning work.. Collects 90% of debris,dust etc. Bigger items beed picking up by hand and put into the sweeper bin - no biggy! Avoid sweeping up any lengths of selophane / soft plastic as it coils around rear sweeper brush and intetferes with movement of sweeper. Still use the oul sweeping brush to get into corners / door openings etc but the sweeper has sped up jovs x 10 ! Recommend.

Boşaltırken de önce arkasını yukarı kaldırıp kovayı çıkartırsanız ortalık tekrar kirlenmez. Çok dar köşeleri ya da sık ve sert dönüşleri olan yerlerde kullanımı zor, Engebeli zeminler için de pek uygun değil ama düz alanlar için çok küçük ve ince parçaları bile toplayabilen, tamamen mekanik, güzel bir ürün.

I have a Victa electric outdoor sweeper/vacuum unit which is great BUT I go through so many extension cords because they get twisted and kinked and becomes a pain in the you know what. I saw this unit on Amazon and it was $40 cheaper than Bunnings, I see they have now price matched. Amazon delivery in the past have been excellent and this was no exception. I am in Perth and received it in 3 days. I was a bit hesitant to buy it, but decided to give it a go, I live opposite a park with lots of gum trees, and get strong easterly breezes and tons of leaves. This unit went far beyond my expectations. It is simple to assemble (I am the world's worst handyman) even for me. I could not believe how a manual sweeper could pick up all the leaves so easily. I love the leaf basket waste, no need to get dusty or dirty like I do on the Vista Elect unit. I highly recommend this unit. It is Fantastic and worth the money.

Semplicemente Fantastico! Dovevo pulire una autorimessa dove era stata fatta una controparete di cartongesso... Successivamente stuccata e poi imbiancata! C'erano due dita di polvere finissima e non avrei saputo come liberarmene... Con il bidone aspiratutto ci avrei messo un anno e oltretutto avrei bruciato il motore dopo cinque minuti, troppa polvere e troppo fine... Invece questa specie di "drone" una passata dopo l'altra si è fagocitato una sacco della spazzatura (quelli neri grandi...) pieno zeppo, che oltretutto pesava un quintale... Sono esterrefatto, super soddisfatto! Consiglio l'uso di una mascherina in locali chiusi e molto polverosi, perché inevitabilmente un po' di polvere si alza! Cinque STELLE PIENE! COMPLIMENTI! 🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟

Dit apparaat werkt voor geen meter. Zand opvegen is het enige dat goed gaat. Blaadjes en takjes lukt niet, dan verstopt de rol onderin het apparaat. Alleen als je de bak om de 10 meter leegmaakt, ook al zit er bijna niets in, veegt die een klein beetje. Als je dit wilt kopen om kleine blaadjes of takjes op te vegen heeft dit geen zin, dit werkt niet: koop het niet!
