I am very very green at any sort of gold mining. It is something that has my interest and I wanted to give it a try. So, I am basing my review off of my own personal opinion, and I will update as I start to use it. First step was unboxing everything. I was blown away at the quality of the multiple products as I went through it. Everything seems to be good solid construction. Nothing is shotty or junky feeling to hold. I can easily see that the sluice box will need tuning, but I expected that. And honestly, I am going to modifying it anyway, as I will be using it more as a high bank sluice. **After use edit pending**

Firstly, the package arrived quickly after ordering. I was very excited to open it up and check out all of the things that come with this package. Sadly, I discovered that my large gold pan was cracked and unusable. I contacted the seller and they shipped a new one out immediately. Amazing customer support! The sluice box is perfect. It folds up nicely and the flared end fits inside the folded sluice box for easy storage and transportation. It is easy to set up and works perfectly! I am very happy with my sluice fox. All of the accessories make the perfect quick start kit. It includes everything you will need from classifying to gold collection. I would highly recommend going with this product because I am very happy with my purchase.

I was so excited when I opened the box, everything came nicely packed. I love how they put protective plastic all around sluice. Everything came perfectly, only thing I would say is take the bag out of the picture. I got this because I thought it came with the bag to carry the folded sluice box to make it easy to carry while hiking. Easy to assemble, reliability is perfect for the mission at hand, size was as described. Very happy with my purchase overall happy hunting to all. I finally put it to use first I never received a back pack that fits the sluice which it states above it should have came with one!!! When I used in the creek the padding on the opening of the sluice came right off & down the creek it went. It was glued on not so well especially to be put in water. At first I was so excited when I got it everything else was fine. But I never received the backpack & also the mat that got lost in the creek because it was not on well enough. Other than that it did the job I needed it to do.

Practical set for a beginning prospector. Has a little bit of everything. You could pack this up in a backpack and head to the stream as soon as you receive it. Most of the equipment is SE branded and sturdy. The pans are good quality and even the smaller pan works well with minimal cons. Comes with a small rock hammer, about 12 inches long and has a sturdy forge. The sluice is 9 inches wide so keep that in mind. Most larger sluices have 12-15 inches of width so you wont be able to load too much into it at a time so its perfect for leisurely sluicing but not for production quality collection. Works as well as any sluice, just in a small package. The magnet is ok, nothing special about the pull force but works all the same. Everything else is average quality and doesn't seem to be disappointing. Great starter kit though.

I used it the day after I received it. Everything worked great. Items seem to be good quality. It's a good kit for a first timer has everything you need.

This was a good set for us to take to a placer claim. We didn’t open the box till after we got to our claim out west, so when we opened the box we discovered the large pan was broken. Everything else was fine though. We did use the sluice for a bit but because of the fires near our claim we didn’t spend much time actually looking for gold.

This company should be the standard in customer service! One item was damaged in shipping they responded very quickly and made it right! Will definitely be ordering from Sluice fox again!
