KILMAT 80 mil 18 sqft Car Sound Deadening Mat, Butyl Automotive Sound Deadener, Audio Noise Insulation and dampening

This is a good product. Many people go with KILMAT because of the value to price point. I did as well. When you clean the surface (in my case it was all painted metal) this stuff sticks very well. I do recommend you use a seam roller of some type, I used Lumiteco 3 piece roller set. This will help with adhesion and mostly flatten the overlapped edges. It also helps you see where you have rolled as it leaves little grooves. The difference when we had no sound mats and after was very impressive. We haven't finished our install yet and it is quieter than when we had an interior in the van. There are thicker mats available in other brands, but this will work great for our van build, but this helps keep the weight down. It is quality material, just be careful when you are removing the backing, the edge of the foil face can cut you. I suggest you layout where you are installing the mat and cut to fit. From what I have read, you don't need to cover every inch in the vehicle, just spot install for a big difference. I chose to cover most surfaces to help keep sound out when we are sleeping in the van. We haven't finished putting the van yet, but we have driven it around and been very satisfied with this product.

This product works great and easy to install. I do two or more vehicles a month. I switch to this brand a year ago and would recommend to everyone of my customers

This stuff is very high quality, very sticky, doesn’t stink, and gets the job done! Got rid of my annoying roof rattle from my 2 8” subwoofers. Man they really got this priced right and I still got enough left over to do another car/truck!! Buy this and don’t look back!

The product is good and contrary to some comments I read it was not a mess to install and went on very nicely. That said I placed on a 71 Baracudda and starting from a 71db I was able to drop that down to about 66 with two layers Kilmatt 80mil

I installed Kilmat Sound Deadening in my truck, and I’m extremely impressed with the results. The material is thick, pliable, and easy to cut to fit doors, floor panels. It sticks very well to metal surfaces and doesn’t peel, even after heating it slightly to make it more flexible. After installation, I immediately noticed a reduction in road noise and vibrations. Worth the money!!

I bought these to help sound proof my network rack. They do an amazing job. So easy to install and the glue is really strong. You can cut them down to fit. I also put some in my Nas to help with vibration from the hdd. Excellent price.

Great stuff. Use this in conjunction with the foam. My truck sounds like a luxury car. Buy more than you think you will need. It goes very fast. I have ordered several times and I still need more. It’s ok to cut. Use a razor blade to make it easier. Sticks very well. Overall I’m happy to have used this. The sound in the truck is very quiet. It’s a newer truck but they aren’t made the same as they used to be. Another benefit, the speakers are more clear too. Great purchase!

If your looking for sound deadening material and don’t want to spend a bunch of money? This is definitely a great choice. Installed this in my car when I put a new sound system in and the difference is amazing. No more unwanted rattles in the door, was super easy to install. I would also recommend a roller device to make it a bit easier to apply the sheets. The adhesive is great had no issues with it sticking to the door, I did prep the door first, I used xylene to wipe off dirt and grime on the door metal and it allowed it to stick extremely well. I would definitely recommend this product, has a lot of benefits other then just sound deadening! Can use as vapour barrier and also an insulator.
