Live Baby Live - Live At Wembley Stadium[Blu-ray]

I own about 125 concerts on BluRay & DVD. This concert is #1 on the ilst. The production value (the equipment used to record and edit the concert) is absolutely top notch. It was filmed in 35mm movie film using numerous cameras, including jibs, that were placed throughout the venue. This is an extremely expensive way to shoot an event but at the time it was far and away the best way to do it(some would argue it still is). The result is absolutely a phenomenal looking concert that was lit well and edited nicely; no silly hypercutting overly stylized nonsense. The performance and audio recording of the band - in front of one of the largest crowds of its kind - is top notch. You can clearly see how excited the audience is to be there and there's lots of love for the band to boot. If you are an INXS fan, this is unequivocally the finest concert of the band you will ever see.

I have owned the out-of-print DVD since 2000. This is an amazing performance by one of the best live bands ever. This blu-ray has me watching the concert over and over as the clarity is amazing. I can see how Hutch struggled with acne as a kid ! The dolby atmos audio makes you think you are there ! I have played both discs back-to-back and I promise, if you liked the original version, this new one will blow you away !

Great concert timeless music 🎶

I took one star because there are absolutely no special features butttt its a fantastic concert. The energy from the crowd was obviously felt by the band shows in their performance, everybody was at their absolute best and even the not so well known songs are enjoyable to watch. Happy this performance was documented professionally. The picture is fantastic as well as the sound, for almost 2 hours it feels like Michael Hutchence is still with us.

I remember listening to great INXS hits on the radio station and watching their videos on MTV during the 1980s and 1990s-the band was awesome back then. I still love these: "What You Need", "Original Sin", "Bitter Tears" and "By My Side". I love "Live Baby LIve" This 1991 concert was thrilled by over 70,000 fans in Wembley Stadium where it was filmed back then, and now I watch this iconic, amazing fantastic performance for the first time ever onBlu-ray! To me and my friends, the movie looks as stunning and spectactular as it was 30 years ago, when Michael Hutchence was superb lead singer six year before his death! I highly recommend this concert on Blu-ray so let's have a marvelous, sensationally good time!

This is what rock and roll WAS all about. No overdone stage props or lights. No lip-syncing. REAL musicians with REAL talent. I am so glad they re-mastered this concert and produced it on blu ray. This concert is a time capsule of what a live concert was like last century. You can feel, hear and see the energy that the band and crowd are sharing. It needs to be played on 11. Not 10. Eleven. I blast this concert when my wife isn't around, and though I never saw INXS perform, I've been a fan since 1983, when I saw the MTV video, Don't Change, in my hotel room on my high school prom night. That song became the soundtrack to my memory of prom. A fan ever since!

FINALLY!!! One of the BEST live concerts ever filmed is re-released on Blu-ray AND in both Atmos & Dolby Digital audio. I’ve waited & hoped 12+ years for this DVD to be released on Blu-ray. Both audio & video qualities are awesome! This is the best INXS show you can ever watch

Obviously, the performance itself gets a million stars. I was in the audience and every nuance, expression and inflection has been engraved into my soul over the years. Watching this release in the cinema last year with an appreciative audience was really special. I love the new widescreen aspect and appreciate the time it took to reposition each frame. The clarity is mostly exceptional and lends a whole new dimension to the recording, even drawing attention to small details that didn’t stand out before. There are a few brief cuts using new angles. Unfortunately, the colour, while very complementary in some sections, has messed up others. One of the greatest pleasures of previous releases was watching the audience feed off the energy. Now, you can sometimes barely see us. It’s like trying to peer through a curtain of dark grey fog. Knowing the previous editions so well, my eyes have a problem with it but it may not be a big deal to those less familiar. At certain points, particularly during disappear, Michael glows a weird shade of magenta. Do I recommend you buy it? You bet. Even if it’s just so you have the full set including ‘Lately’ which is a glorious addition and thrilling to see after all this time. If you’ve never seen this concert, even if you’re not a fan of the music, check it out. It’s a masterclass in performance. To share one of Michael Hutchence’s (and INXS’) finest few hours, in person, is something I will treasure for the rest of my life. I’ve never felt an energy like it. It’s fortunate that we have this amazing recording to enjoy time and again.
