Stem for KitchenAid Whirlpool KFP740 KFP750 KFPW760 KFPM770 Food Processor

This is a very well-fabricated replacement part for my KitchenAid Food Processor. The original part went missing (husband says he didn't put it away in a strange place or throw it away but it's not where it's supposed to be and I guess I'm just grateful that he helps out in the kitchen at all). So you can imagine my dismay when I found that the manufacture of this part was discontinued, and no one had any in stock. Fixitopia to the rescue. I am now back to quickly slicing and grating with my food processor instead of doing it all by hand. Now, if I can figure out where hubby put the slicing blade . . . . .

I was certain I'd have to buy a whole new food processor because somehow, in the mid-2000's, I got rid of this and the grater/slicer disks and only kept the chopping blade. I've had this KitchenAid since the late 90's and it still works great. Just on a fluke, by way of eBay, this stem (that holds the blades, which I also found) was being offered on Amazon so I snagged it. Fits perfectly, works perfectly, as do the new disks. It's like a new food processor again!

Did not last 5 minutes, not good quality at all, end up getting rid of the food processor out of anger and frustration

Have been trying to find this part for some time. Contacted kitchen aid parts and was told they no longer carry it because it is an older model. I got this processor around 10 years ago. I was absolutely delighted to find it on Amazon and am so grateful. Fast delivery and very satisfied!

This replacement stem is for my 20 year old food processor. The maker of the food processor could not replace it. It works perfectly and saved me from having to add a perfectly good working expensive food processor to the dump.

I loved my old Kitchenaid Food Processor but the stem that held the slicing/shredding discs broke. I was glad to find this. I could tell immediately that it was not an exact replacement -- it was clearly made from different material and was shaped a bit differently. But, it worked pretty well to slice easy things like celery or onion or shred cabbage. After a few months of intermittent use for those things, I decided to try shredding cheddar cheese. With the original stem, I was able to shred cheese with no problem. But, with this replacement, the entire processor seized up and shook so badly. The stem broke massively, requiring me to pry it apart with pliers and cut into it to finally remove it from the machine. Ugh. You might do better with me if you stick to slicing easy stuff like cabbage or celery. But I could not recommend this at all for harder items or shredding cheese.

Bought this for my food processor and it doesn't fit very tight so i am not sure how long it will last. Not very impressed by the quality and workmanship. Feel like this is a complete waste of money.
