Accu-Chek Guide Me Diabetes Meter for Diabetic Blood Glucose Monitoring (Meter Only)

This works quite well for diabetics. It also keeps a record of your past numbers.

Works as well as my original meter. I needed a backup for a trip .

I lost my old one , this one is functional and fast and only needs a little bit of blood to test.

I bought this as a backup meter in case the one just like it I use fails or I forget to pack it when taking a trip. This one will be in my suitcase, ready to go. From the picture, of the box, it would appear that it contained one meter AND a package of testing strips. Whether it's deceptive advertising by Roche Co, or by Amazon, I don't know. What is specifically NOT in the listing is an image of the side panel showing what IS in the box. The implication is there's a package of strips included, but they are not. It even states in the gold bar near the bottom: "Quick easy testing at a low cost + Spill-resistent Smartpack Vial". So, if you're looking for strips and a meter at a good price, this isn't it! What IS in the box is: 1 meter with batteries installed, 1 FastClicks lancing Device with 1 'drum' of 6 lancets in a separate wrapper, 1 plastic carrying/travel case that I find difficult to extract the meter from, and 1 set of printed instructions, etc. There are ZERO strips inside the box, despite a package of 50 of them is clearly shown on the front of the box. Oh, and there's a peel-off coupon on the side of the box opposite the contents listing to be given to your pharmacist to guarantee specific pricing for the strips...50 for $20, 100 for $30, 200 for $50, etc. Anyone can get better prices for the strips here at Amazon. I'm happy with the Guide Me product, though. And not having to fiddle with individual lancets and their safe disposal makes testing safer, faster and easier to do. Even the 'drum' that goes in the 6-shooter style lancing device is seemingly impossible to get accidentally 'stuck', both before and after being completely used. Say goodbye to your 'sharps' bottle!

Works well

Got it in the mail...package had been opened already. Don't trust that this hasn't been used and sent back to Amazon. The individual seal on the box was cut--so that leaves questions. The batteries were missing too. Amazon won't take it back. Doesn't come with TEST STRIPS either...bad move to buy this. Accuchek has gone down hill. This product SUCKS--the hard case is cheap and terrible---the cloth soft cases were MUCH better. Bought this as a back-up..will go with a different brand now. Disappointed 100%

A great buy I have one in my car and one in my bedroom. This meter is reasonable and durable. Have used one of these for many years and recommended to friends and family.
