Replacement Complete Head Assembly Frame for Series 5000 Shavers（Blade not Included）

Compatible with Philips Series 6000 S6650/48 Shaver. Having recently replaced the blades and foils, I was a little disappointed that my shaver started to make a screeching noise when in use. On further inspection, it appeared that one or more of the three heads were slipping on the clutch and not spinning. Not only was this noisy, it made shaving a lengthy and tedious process. It seemed that a new head was needed, and this one seemed like a good option as Philips don't seem to stock this part. Shaving is a breeze again and far less noisy! I was pleased to be able to breathe some life back into a shaver which is only about three years old.

I took a risk ordering this but my Philips Series 5000 was becoming noisy and the head mechanism was rather loose. The packaging of this replacement head assembly was very good and the head assembly seems well constructed and clicks solidly into place on my shaver body. However, despite trying every combination of shaver, head assembly and blue retaining clips, I could not get the shaver heads to lock into place and they fall out every time the razor is opened for cleaning. The blue clips only have to rotate a very small amount (see photo) but those supplied would not budge and neither would my old clips so I suspect the problem is in both the head assembly AND the clips. I have been refunded in full by amazon and am now considering my options. Philips replacement shaver heads are not cheap and with the dodgy head assembly (which Philips do not offer replacements for in UK), I think it's is time to get out of the vicious circle of Philips built in obsolescence. Perhaps a new Braun for Christmas? ;)

The original head had started screaming and this seemed the best replacement. Blades fit and remain secure. I remember when I replaced the blades in the original head it was a fiddly pain in the backside, this is no different but no worse. Only issue so far is that the head has a tendency to drop out of the body, but rotating it away from the keyway seems to help. Nice and quiet and cuts well

Works OK but no where near the same quality as the original.

This shaver head is identical in appearance to the shaver head that came with my Philips series 5000. As for fitting the three rotary blades using the supplied blue rings, I found it easier than with the original shaver head. Fitting the head to the body of the shaver was a little stiff, but I reckon that will get easier, but oddly the sliding joint that connects and separates the top from the base of the shaver head was easy to separate, but difficult to put back together. I hope that also will become easier with use. Overall, I am satisfied.

Rubbish. Didn't fit my razor, despite being advertised for it. Threw it away.
