Jump at Home: Grade 8 (JUMP at Home Math Workbooks)

These math text are the absolute greatest for reluctant math students. My son is now excelling at his work, despite his difficulty remembering number facts. John Mighton's philosophy is that everyone can master math, and the books aim to make that possible. If your child is having trouble I would absolutely check these out. Jump Math has a website which allows you to look at alot of pages, so you will be able to see if the books are likely to meet your child's needs.

Great math program. This book nails the basics in an easy to follow format.

Great overview of grade 8 math curriculem/

I bought this for my son to get a head start in math for grade 8 and hated this book. First off there is no answer key, which was fine for me (except it was time consuming to mark) but other people who don't have a strong math background would find this book very challenging to use. Also the first half of the book appears to be a teaching section and then you have to go and find the practice section tens of pages on in the book. Poorly set up is my final comment for this book. Don't buy it! Go with the "Complete" series of workbooks instead.

Great resource!

Most of this book is much like the jump at home 7. It's not worth the money :(
