HHIP 2 X 1 X 1-5/8 INCH CAST Iron V Block Set (3402-1000)

I ordered two sets of these V-blocks ( 4 blocks). They are as described. Cast iron and machined flat and smooth on the V top, both sides and bottom. All machine work is very nice. They are painted silver on un-machined rough area. The 2 holes machined in center web are 5/8" diameter. Just wipe off excess shipping oil and they are ready to use.

Tested on a surface plate with a last word indicater and a standard. Found that it tests out to be good for .001 or less. After reading other review seems I got a good one..luck of the draw. Worth $20 gamble

These are a get what you pay for. The cast surfaces are really bad. The machined surfaces are clean and free of tool marks and surface blemishes. I didn’t check them for flat or square. They will work for wood shop tasks. If I were doing machine shop work I would invest in a better quality set.

Very good product

Used these to true up a Polaris small engine crankshaft journel/connecting rod assembly. Worked very well. Solid and well constructed.

Well machines and well coated. Should have bought them years ago.

Price was good for these. Used for testing the eccentric shaft runout for my Mazda rotary engine rebuild. Perfect size for that purpose.

OK for what you pay I guess. Casting quality is poor with minor defects on ground surfaces that were repaired by mfg.and one repair I could feel with my fingernail. Biggest complaint is only the top and bottom surfaces are ground others are rough milled therefore can't be used accurately in other positions such as clamping round stock on your mill vertically.

Size Name: 2 x 1-3/8 x 7/8 " Size, 1-5/8 " V Width That V Width is wrong. It's not 1-5/8" but exactly 1". Appears as solid product but some - not all - edges are quite sharp so some deburring is needed in most cases.
