Good Protective Barrier Against Pests
This product, especially before use and undiluted, has a very strong, fragrant garlic smell. The Garlic Barrier is aptly named, because it does make an unseen barrier to protect various garden plants. From experience, we can say that garlic can be used to deter rabbits, deer, cats, squirrels, as well as unwanted snails, aphids, borers, mites, beetles, and many other insects. It will deter pollinators, too, so we will only use Garlic Barrier, properly diluted to appropriate strengths, on plants not yet in bloom. To deter certain animals, we use slightly different garlic dilution ratios. We appreciate this product because it is safer than many harmful chemical pesticides and it is more environmentally compatible. We consider this product worth our money to buy it.

Keeps several types of insects away
This will be my second year using this Garlic Spray. It works quickly. Spray and walk away for a bit to let the smell die down and you are good for a day or 2.

Seems to help with grasshoppers in apple orchard
We have an apple orchard and were hit with a lot of grasshopper damage this year. The leaves of some of the smaller trees were almost totally stripped. I sprayed this twice about a week apart. It does not kill grasshoppers, but there was a noticeable reduction in most of the orchard. some trees seemed completely clear and others had only a few hoppers on some tips. Very strong garlic smell! I will be ordering another bottle to have on hand so I can spray earlier next year.

Not sure whether it works
I've used a garlic spray in the past with great success. Unfortunately, I'm not sure which brand I used for the past two years, but I do remember it being more expensive than this one. It also was MUCH more concentrated and garlic stench lasted for several days (where this one went away within one day). However, after that period the garlic smell wore off and the mosquitoes SIGNIFICANTLY decreased. Unfortunately, this year was by far the worst for mosquitoes that we've seen in a long, long time. So, I'm giving this product 3 stars instead of fewer based on the fact that it made a little difference in the mosquitoes and it might have made more of a difference in a year when the bugs weren't so bad (so I could compare apples to apples). Over all, I won't buy this one again, but I will be buying another garlic barrier because they totally do help!

Works great! Smells good too.
Loved this product. Not only did my yard smell like one of the best Italian restaurants, but more importantly, NO mosquitoes. Worked great. Will definitely be buying more this coming season.

Doesn't work for me
Didn't work. Sprayed everywhere, it was like ringing the dinner bell. As the mosquitos swarmed me, I resorted to spraying it directly on them. All it did was upset them, and made them more determined. In fact, it may have mutated their intelligence level, as they seemed to develop a tactical plan to distract me in the front, while others flanked me. The poor dog and I fought a valiant fight (her snapping as they attacked her, while I had the spray bottle in one hand and a baseball cap in the other, swinging and spraying wildly. Too bad the missus didn't catch it on video, I'm sure she would have watched it over and over for entertainment value), but we ultimately had to retreat inside. (In all fairness, I also tried the 'ultrasound' method. That didn't work either, so perhaps the mosquitos here in Japan just haven't got the memo yet.)

It works! After you try all the home remedies that don't work - get Garlic Barrier.
Several years ago I had so many huge fire ant mounds in my yard. I tried several of the nontoxic home remedies but they didn't work. I finally bought Garlic Barrier and the ant hills disappeared. It has been several years now and this week I saw a small colony of fire ants in my front yard - so now I'm going to get out the Garlic Barrier and get rid of them before they take over. Great product. No one has paid me to review it. I also like the garlic smell - but it goes away.

Works
We live in a high mosquito area near ponds & the river. Our neighbors complain about mosquitoes all the time and have their property sprayed by the county. We use this. We have hardly any mosquitoes. we recently remodeled and have screens now, but we didn’t even have screens for years. Currently our neighbors are complaining about mosquitoes next-door. we’ve only seen one or two all year. Lasts a long time as well.
